St. Vibiana's is very beautiful. One of the reasons Mahoney gave for not repairing it was that it was too small. If you think the new cathedral is ugly in pictures, you ought to try seeing it in person. I drive by it almost everyday. It is hideous.

Have you ever been inside? I'm sure there are others than myself on this forum, who will not likely ever see the place, and who would appreciate a first-hand account of the inside appearance, from one of 'our own'.

You couldn't pay me to attend Mass at that totalitarian compound, not would I go to mass where Mahoney presided. It looks like a train depot on the inside.

I'm glad some saved St. Vibiana's. Much prettier.
