It isn't a non-sequitur. Anyone who enters into church-israelism MUST ascertain ahead of time how they will prevent anti-semitism from EVENTUALLY becoming a part of their movement. History shows it to be a grave danger.
One can move from there to the scripture.
You know that the God I believe in can easily regraft those Jewish olive branches, and they will thrive much more the better seeing as how they are a natural extension of the root. This is what Paul warns should we become conceited concerning Israel. Even from your church-israelism perspective that must be viewed seriously and not as if Paul uttered for the sake of verbosity.
