WM: We were the angels (hosts) of heaven before we were born here.

Drj: Biblical proof?

WM: Since you are asking me about what we believe, your question should be: Can I show it from the LDS Scriptures?

Drj: Fine. I was just clarifying for our lurkers that you can show no support for this foundational LDS view from the Bible. Your view rises or falls with the credibility of Joseph Smith as a true prophet and your acceptance of his authority to add to or revise the Bible as he determines "best."

WM: Lurkers, get ready for the burning-bosom jokes, and claims that this is asking for a sign.

Drj: My reply above demonstrates that you are not a prophet.

Your #24: you can show no support for this foundational LDS view from the Bible.

How is it that you are so eager to jump to this conclusion? This does not help your credibility.

I have shown support and will continue. There is also lots of good information in latter-day revelation.

Who says that "we were the angels of heaven before we were born" is a "foundational LDS view"? To say that we lived in heaven with God as His children before we were born would be more like it.

I would save this sort of post for matters that affect our salvation. For example, rejecting the prophets and apostles that are sent to us can definitely affect our salvation.

When Jesus speaks, and His words are carefully taken down and solemnly published to the world, attested by witnesses, and you reject it because of the apostle He spoke through, because of the messenger, that could be a problem. Can you really say in that case that you believe all His words and accept His authority?

Go to this thread, the article of which tries to show that the New Testament is full of errors and therefore false, and convince the man who wrote it, solely from the Hebrew Bible, that the Law of Moses is fulfilled and that we are to partake of the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper instead of performing the sacrificial ordinances of the Law of Moses. Then tell him that the Sabbath day is now Sunday and prove that from the Old Testament.

I refer you again to the fundamental questions in my #23.

I refer you again to my #15, and invite you again to click on the link, which will take you to a page where there are many other links.

James 1:5-8
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Book of Mormon, Moroni 10:3-5
3 Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts.
4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.
5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.

Revelation 22:8-9
8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.
9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.

Psalms 8:4-5
4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

Luke 20:35-36
35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:
36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

Romans 8:17
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

D&C 88:107
107 And then shall the angels be crowned with the glory of his might, and the saints shall be filled with his glory, and receive their inheritance and be made equal with him.
