One ray of hope. I read from Adoremus that the response "And also with you" is to be changed into "And with your spirit," anytime soon. This would make sense. Where did you get this information? Do you have more? Hahahaha!

Bump on the Prayer of St. Michael. We say it at the end of the Rosary before the weekday Masses, but nothing on Saturday evening and Sundays.

Excuse me for my ignorance, but isn't the confiteor supposed to be recited at EVERY Sunday mass? We have two parish priests, and one ALWAYS has it and the other one sometimes has it, sometimes doesn't. I have experienced the same phenomenon, only with the same priest (former). He would only say the
Lord, have mercy,
Christ, have mercy,
Lord, have mercy.
Our current priest says both the Confiteor and the Kyrie.

we need to put the same faith and trust in God to feed and nurture us. Amen!

Glad you found it. I located it to get the URL for you, but here you are! LOL!

Siobhan,
I think of you with the following quote from the Commentary. Best wishes. Keep cool!
5. Receiving a child in Jesus' name is the same as receiving Jesus Himself. Because children reflect the innocence, purity, simplicity and tenderness of our Lord, "In children and in the sick a soul in love sees Him" ([Blessed] J. Escriva, "The Way", 419).

Is the "Confiteor" the "I confess to Almighty God and to you my brothers and sisters ..." or something else?

Yes, that is it.
I am having a problem with NewAdvent or the Catholic Encyclopedia coming up. I can't figure it out. Or else I would print the entire text.
To: Salvation
Newadvent is down ... I was trying to get there, too.

I get my information on the liturgy from Adoremus Bulletin. I went to their website to see exactly what the GIRM has to say on Gophack's Kyrie-Confiteor question, but they have only the 1975 GIRM (I wonder if this is the one in the process of being revised?)
I gave my copy of the July-August issue to my pianist, but it was there I read that the "The Lord be with you" may soon be responded by "And with your Spirit." As my pianist and I are the only music ministers in our Saturday evening and Sunday noon Masses, we share all information about the liturgy.
But I'm sure you'll find plenty of what you're looking for in the Adoremus Bulletin website:
