How can a Church which is supposedly infallible promote teachings which the early Church condemned as heretical? We have found it to be a real money maker on The Feast of The Assumption. The collections zoom, and, frankly, we all need extra cash what with the stock market and whatnot.

In this case the word of early Christian doctors is proof positive of their ideology, but on other things like purgatory, the words and teachings of the early Christians is heretical to them. They find a way to make every belief held in Catholicism heretical. And for some reason its easier to spam the thread than actually read and refute the article. I thought Newman put it into terms that even the most non-theological could understand.
