This came from a friend on a Catholic web site I used to help with. I do not believe it is a legitimate prophecy, as I have never seen it even mentioned before in any "credible" source. I am just putting this out to see if anyone here has ever heard of such a prophecy attributed to Mother Teresa. I think this is a fabrication.

At one time, about 10 years ago, I followed much of the Marian "apparitions" and Catholic prophecy quite closely. However, I found this robbed me of my peace, and there was absolutely no valid objective criteria upon which to discern the validity of various claims.

I am just curious whether others here have seen this floating around the internet, or have heard of this alleged prophecy before?

For clarification: I did not write this, I just copied and pasted it from another web site run by a friend (the youngest sister of Catholic apologist Pat Madrid.)

Just FYI and for your input...pinging

"[W]hen the alleged experience [of private revelation] has been apprehended through the use of spiritual faculties which we either do not possess or do not use, our confidence in the 'something there' necessarily evaporates. Which is, I suppose, why the Church tells us that a private revelation may be such as to demand credence from the soul which experiences it, but can never, of itself, demand credence from other people." Truly said. I used to do the same thing and I used to buy the books of prophecies, visions etc. The friends I know who attended to this closer than did I, were totally freaked about Y2K and they were absoultely convinced that everything would collapse. We appeared to deal with it ok. Now, those same friends are anticipating other future tragedies with similar certitude they are inescapable

But what makes this case so different is that all of this information has been included in the documentation that is being sent to Rome in support of Mother Theresa's cause for beatification.
Probably with a note saying there is no proof she ever said this. Had she said it I would be more than a little shocked to have not heard it before now. We hear every public word Sister Lucia speaks in short order, usually before she says it. I can't imagine why it would take five years for a real prophecy from Mother Theresa to spread.

The third Horseman wasn't mentioned, but the fourth was a brilliant shining light.

Sounds like a UFO invasion to me.

Mother Teresa expired on 5th September, Friday 1997 in Calcutta.

5 years after Mother Teresa's death (September 2002) 1st Horseman would bring plague that kills millions

1st Seal - White Horse, rider with bow & crown went forth conquering (Rev 6:1-2)
2003, 2nd horseman brings war with millions of victims
2nd Seal - Red Horse, rider given power to take peace from the earth, [people] slay each other, and rider given a great sword (Rev 6:3-4)

3rd Seal - Black Horse, rider brings famine (Rev 6:5-6)

Fourth horseman is bring shining light that represents God
4th Seal - Pale Horse, rider is Death, Hades follows, they together kill 1/4 of the earth by sword, hunger, death, and beasts (Rev 6:7-8a)
The timing could fit. This summer, the "Madrid Quartet" (US, Russia, EU, UN) had planned to enact a Mideast Peace plan between Israel and the PLO which could be a false peace. If it is the False Peace which begins the 7 year tribulation, then the 1st Seal could be opened thereafter (Sept?) and a mideast war, possibly with weapons of mass destruction, in full swing by 2003.

However:
The 1st seal/horseman should not seem to bear a plague, and most significant is the 4th Horseman is not God, and on that basis I would tend to discount all of it.

As Polycarp notes, only the Father knows the time of the Son's return, but we are told for what signs of the end of the age we are to watch (and many do seem to be budding), so we should stay watchful, and keep our lamps filled.

There are some serious problems here, the first is the first horse "The First Horseman represented the plague that is to overtake the world and kill millions " Yet according to the discription of the first horse and it's rider in Revelation 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. Rider on a white horse with a crown is the Lord Jesus.

The fourth horse according to your post is " but the fourth was a brilliant shining light. Mother Theresa apparently revealed that it represented God, " Yet according to Revelation 6:7&8 the fourth horse is in no way the Lord And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. 8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

I would have to say that whoever made this up, while maybe a Roman Catholic priest, certainly has very little knowledge of the word of God.
