Life is grand, isn't it? I'm so glad our Calvinist Caucus take a moment to educate us poor condemned Catholics in the Catholic Caucus. What loving and joyful fellowship we share with them all.

You know, I've got to wonder about people who spend so much time hating Catholics and other Christians. Is there any time left over for prayer? Is there any room for love to exist in their hearts at all? Does Christ even exist inside of them?

Morning JM..come on over and discuss (with zeal)God and Jesus instead of sex abuse and Koran kissing:>)
BTW on the topic of RC Evangelization ..I think the church has offically quit many years ago , it ministers to ohysical needs without presenting the gospel in alot of the world.
But individauls are still active and the article speaks to them
JM when you approach someone is your main interest in introducing them to Christ or making them Catholics?

Dear AB,
Some years ago, my realtor, an ardent then-Southern Baptist, invited me to her annual Christmas party. At the party was the pastor of her church, which was about half-way to becoming the mega-church it has since become.
She introduced me to the pastor, and a discussion ensued. After a bit, he graciously invited me to his church on whatever Sunday I could make it. I thanked him and told him that I'd be happy to, as soon as he could make it out to Mass with me. Conversation in the room came to a halt for a few moments.
I wasn't invited back to the party the following year.

I ask you the same thing Poly..When you evangelize are you more interested in making someone Catholic or in introducing them to Christ?
BTW you are more than welcome to come discuss the sovereignity of God and free will with us..we are more God focued than church focused...but then you knew that:>)
Come on over Poly

I'm not feeling cozy this morning RN. As much as I disagree with Calvinism, I don't come on your threads and mock you. There was no excuse for you to participate in that crap spewed by ccwoody. There is no need for you or any of your pious brethren to share you views about us on a thread marked Catholic Caucus. We already know what you think of us. Good day.

The hardest part of Christianity sometimes is to love your neighbor even when they hate you. I'll try. Right now, I'm going swimming with my boy. Hold down the fort. =)

No one "hates" Catholics Golden
Catholic bashing is anytime anyone has the audacity to ask you to defend your faith using the Bible..
If there is no Biblical support the call of Catholic bashing goes up to divert attention
I have a Catholic husband and a couple Catholic kids..I remember the nuns with affection ..and I still will hum old latin hymns
I simply believe that the doctrine is incorrect..not fatal but incorrect.Poly fears that I am lost outside the Catholic church. That is a bash...but I am not whinning..

I did not mock you..I simply agreed with Woody that the title caught my attention because of the other recent long thread on jewish evangelization..I wondered if it was posted in response to it.
BUT if you notice I did not give an opinion of this article till you flagged me in..
JM is being Catholic more important than knowing Christ personally? How do you evangelize? I learned "make a friend, be a friend bring that friend to Christ".( I learned that on a Catholic retreat) would you agree Christ is more important than the church?
I hope you do have a good day..I really mean it

When you evangelize are you more interested in making someone Catholic or in introducing them to Christ? Both. They are inseparable. Christ is the Head, the Church His Body.
When I introduce someone to you, I do not only introduce them to your head, for such would be impossible. Head and Body are inseparable. Denying the reality of the body and its connection to the spirit or soul is a grave error and heresy.
Same too the denial that the Church is literally the Body of Christ and that one can acknowledge the former without acknowledging the latter.
I love Christ, Terry. I have a personal relationship with Him, not just his dissembodied Head as you guys do but His whole Head AND Body which includes the True Church He built for Himself.
Time is short Terry. You have no defense before God. Before Him all self deception and rationalization is laid bare.
Come Home before its too late.

Christ saves. His Church teaches in His name. I learned of Christ from His Church. You create another false distinction, another straw man, as usual. The Church is the Body of Christ. Christ is its Head. If you desire to worship a dissembodied Christ, that is up to you. But that is what you ARE doing.
Come home. Time is short.

And, as in Islam, if the "painless way" doesn't work, "other options" are always kept open.
Yeah, but it is still painless for the one doing the "evangelizing"!

Shouldn't you guys be on a Calvin thread revelling in the condemnation of others? After all, you chosen folks shouldn't be slumming with the heretics. Especially you, St. Woody. I mean, we all know that your above us in your piousness in Christian behavior. You shame yourself by even coming on a thread with members who worship with the whore of babylon. You should go quickly and find an elitist thread where there is salvation for thee, but not for me.
Ahhh, it is nice to know that you still have such fond memories of our January "train ride". BTW, have you forgotten that on the RC threads, I do not refer to myself as a saint because that tends to offend those who think that mere men should be the ones to make such declarations about others. I refer to myself as a favorite son of God.
There was no excuse for you to participate in that crap spewed by ccwoody.
I suppose that the RC way is the best. Stephen to John: "OK, we have all the gospel tracts. You take the left side of Camel-Mart and I'll take the right side. Remember to put it on the side of the reins and not in the bit. Remember how many tracts Peter lost last week when the Camels ate them?"
Sincerely,
saint a favorite son of God

Don't sell yourself short. Indeed you're saint material in the church of elitism. You do Calvin proud. That is what he taught, after all. Show up and scream invective and condemn everyone...everyone that is except you and your little group of sycophantic followers who worship the rantings of some highbrow who reinvented Christianity.
Salvation only for those who agree with you! LOL

Watch out for jmj333. "J" is the 10th letter of the alphabet. "M" is the 13th. 333 is half of 666. Get my drift?

Look what happens when you
translate "Jay Em Jay Three Three Three (jmj333)" into Spanish, back into English then into German and back into English:
Em tres tres tres jay de Jay?
Three command post three three jay of Jay?
Befehl drei Pfosten drei drei jay von Jay?
Instruction three posts three three jay of Jay?
Notice how "Jay" and "three" remains unchanged but "Command" and "Instruction" are added.
Coincidence? I think not.
