I understand the angst and frustration at the lay groups appearing; however, there can be no doubt the promimate cause is the failure of the out of control, unlawful and in some cases heretical and schismatic USCCB. To blame the laity for the errors caused by a rogue hierarchy is, imho, uncharitable at least.

I can't imagine any self-respecting Protestants wanting to adopt a pushy group like this! Who was that one in Greek mythology who sort of hung in midair after death because both earth and sea rejected him?
