That "nouveau" cathedral Mahony has cooking out in LA is an example of second-century A.D. simplicity and primitivity?

Satan has his sites set on the big prize. Pukes like Weakland are his pawns.

Not sure that it has been carefully contemplated what precisely the consequences and repercussions of the disintegration of the Church, as a credible public institution, will have for Western civilization. We certainly seem to be flirting with a thoroughly post-Christian culture here in the U.S.

These bishops better wise up and start taking their spiritual, moral, and envangelization duties seriously. Restoring dignity and gravitas to the Mass and priesthood would be a good place to start.

It has been an observation of mine that secular leftists and their agitator buddies within the Church generally don't consider the long-term implications of their short-term goals. Not only that, but when their hare-brained ideas don't work, they refuse to admit they were mistaken.

They shoot from the hip. In their emotionalism, there is no time to reflect on consequences.

If someone, say, a very reactionary Catholic conservative, had predicted about 35 years ago or so that the post-Vatican II revolution would inevitably lead to the Jerry Springer School of sodomite liberal degeneracy overtaking the Church in America now, they would have been regarded as an extremist crank. I doubt anyone would have anticipated the bottom-feeding we see now. Msgr. Benson maybe.

Sorry, I have been away for awhile and did not get to read your "intellectual" response. You are truly aptly identified by your screen name.
