The Jerusalem Command
Sapphires | Jonathan Cahn

Did you ever wonder why the Lord commanded His disciples to wait in Jerusalem? The Holy Spirit could have come anywhere. The answer is in a prophecy from Isaiah sung by religious Jews in synagogues across the world. "Ke Mitzion Taytzeh Torah" - And the Law shall go forth from Zion. "Oodavar Adonai may Yerushalayim" - and the Word of the Lord shall go forth from Jerusalem. when Orthodox Jews chant this, they actually bear witness to Messiah, who brought the Word of God to the world from Jerusalem.

If the Jewish people knew the Gospel would have to begin in Jerusalem, how much more must your Gospel also begin there? Where is your Jerusalem? Jerusalem is where you start from, your home, your family, your coworkers, your life, right now. Start sharing the Good News where you are now - in Jerusalem. Then the power of God will truly go forth - as it is written - "and the Word of the Lord shall go forth from Jerusalem."

Psalms 9:11
