My current favorite one is where the little girl has a book that she wants to read to her daddy. He keeps putting her off. She comes to him late at night when he is in bed, and asks again. He tells her to ask her mother. The little girl goes around to the other side of the bed and asks her mother "Can daddy ready me this story?"
I think the universal appeal to these spots is that we recognize the situations. They are just part of normal family life.
