I don't get what you mean here. Are you equating our physical body with Satan?

Not equating, the physical body which is termed "flesh" within the scriptures which includes the carnal mind is Satan. Just to be perfectly clear, when you look into that mirror you see Satan and that which will fight you to the death to insure you are lost. That is why Christ could call Peter Satan, that is why Satan had a synagogue and today possesses many many churches.

Romans 8: 1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

We will have to agree to disagree on this. We look on those verses with a different meaning. We belive Satan to be a individual, a fallen angel. It is true that we are composed of both body and spirit, and if we follow the urges of our body we will fall under Satan's influence, and if we follow the urges of the spirit we draw closer to God, but the resurected Christ had a body of 'flesh and bone' and promised the same to all in the resurection. There is nothing of Satan in Christ. When I look in the mirror, I see me. If I have surpressed the spirit within me and am ruled by my flesh, then I have become develish, but neither I nor my body is Satan.
