That we use the same principle in apologetics that we use in theology: the self-attesting, self-explanatory Christ of Scripture. 2. That we no longer make an appeal to "common notions" which Christian and non-Christian agree on, but to the "common ground" which they actually have because man and his world are what Scripture says they are. Van Til is saying that we use Scriptures as an apologetic method to reach unbelievers when the unbeliever cannot understand Scriptures!(with the exception of Gospel passages)

ftd, why don't you give Jesus all of you, including your reason. I know you want to hold onto that part of yourself, I went through the same thing. If you let Jesus have it you will really feel free. Re-read Romans 1 especially verse 23 and of course humans understand there is a God through nature but it is not THE GOD. That is why there are so many false religons. Won't you give Jesus all of yourself including your reason?
