I owe a bit of an explanation. I am not leaving just because of the threads -- you can think of that more as the straw that broke the camel's back -- but that is even overstated. I have received really awful freepermail from non-Catholics as well as some Catholics, and it is not good for me. I'm undergoing chemo just now, and am scheduled for surgery to remove a tumor that's around my lower spine. I thought I was doing something good for the Church and my fellow FReepers but apparently a large number of folks including Jim disagree. So I'm going for now. Please say a prayer for me. God bless.

I will keep you in my prayers and hope that all goes well while you are under treatment. It is true, as some of the freepers said: who will keep the new found 'sheep' informed. Many of us are just returning to the fold and look forward to your posts, which prove to be so enlightening. I wish you wouldn't go I know there are times and People who try your patience and your charity but don't forget the good things we talk about too.

I trust in God's will for you in your illness, offer you sufferings up to Christ and be strong in your faith, even if you have doubting moments.

I can't imagine what you are going through I know I would be terrified but just hold onto your faith and keep a positive outlook. Try to take it one day, one step, at a time.

I know quite a few people who have, in combination with prayer, good doctors and medical care have beaten cancer and my prayers will be with you.

I have read most of your posts, and you are helpful to the Church, but you are right that you do not need hatemail right now. You need to concentrate on your health. I am so sorry to hear about your battle with cancer, and I shall include you in my prayers.
