CARDINAL ROGER MAHONY'S LEGACY This is a piece of work isn't it? The THE CATHEDRAL Of OUR LADY OF THE ANGELS has a budget of $163,247,000. It is replacing St. Vibiana’s Cathedral which was condemned by the city of Los Angeles in 1996. St. Vibiana’s was finished in 1876 at a cost of $75,000, including furnishing. Go figure.
