Unless you believe that shooting a 14 year old boy in the back after taunting him to come out and throw rocks at them or blowing up children in a botched assasination attempt is a case of terrorists "hiding behind children." I'd like to know where this particular canard originated. Where is it shown that children are killed because the terrorists hide behind them? And is it common practice for the Police in America to go ahead and shoot the children in a hostage situation so they can get at the criminals? (Other than Waco or Ruby Ridge) Just curious.
Meanwhile children are blown up by terrorists as we look for peace that can not be achieved with out a strong war against terrorism! That is the tragedy of it all. You don't find Israeli 12-year olds trying to kill Palestinian babies. The fact that some people can't see the difference in the situations worries me. It is either willful disregard for the truth or an inability to analyze by evaluating the deeper details. Dead kids are not all the same. And it does not make me happy to say this.
The Middle Eastern policy of the United States does NOT rest solely with Israel. Get that through your head and then maybe you will gain some sort of understanding. Israel is an important Ally but that is all it is. We will defend Israel if they are attacked BUT Israel is NOT a state of this Union. Get it?
No it doesn't. We have no information that she was a civilian and not a reservist or police officer. We don't know. We do know however that the reports you offered are quite specific about the law.
On the other hand, it is quite possible that if she had the training she as a civilian could have carried for the day, a state-issued firearm that she would have to return when she went home since the law is very specific about who can and cannot keep firearms at home.

Like Bush? You hate him. You are working as hard as you can to destroy the man and his chances in 2004 as well as the chances to get the Senate. Remember now, Bush is the reason they are shooting in the Middle East. Bush is a hypocrit and you are deemed to be the one to tell the world. No facts - but you know.
Whatever your reason - it is based on hate. Why would you have to attack Bush? I don't hear you attacking Arafat - he sits there with the U.N., the democrats and even some here ignoring him. Instead Bush is at fault. This is exactly why we should never have done anything in the M.E. - the democrats are going to pin the blame on Bush however it goes. No president has ever settled the mess over there - but that doesn't matter. They intend to use it because, you see, it is always easier to use hindsight to judge. It is easy to blame - same as you are doing.
