The article states that Israelis other than soldiers can have weapons. Read.

Was it wrong for America to use daisy-cutters in our war in Afghanistan? How about when we killed Omar's Quadaffi's(sp) son in his home? What about all the civilians we killed in Desert Storm?

If Palis don't want their innocents killed, then they need to fight like men and stop hiding behind the ones the claim they want to protect.

Your refusal to hold Palis responsible, and insisting on blaming the Israelis at every turn shows your being lead by bias rather than morality.

I wont seal my judgement yet, but forgive me if I think you are showing an immoral bias.
I have not 'defended' the Palestinians, nor have I 'defended' the Israelis. My personal feeling is that they are all acting like complete idiots. Regardless of ideaology, I'm for honestly looking at the realities that nobody denies. Peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians will only happen in 3 scenarios.
1. There are no more Palestinians
2. There are no more Israelis
3. They figure out how to get along

1 and 2 can be put aside as unworkable.
Nobody likes the G word.
Even if the one side was wiped out, any peace would be precluded by the reaction of the neighbors or the US.
You can hate the Palestinians or hate the Israelis, neither is going away.

So, the only option is 3.
Every suicide bomber and every Israeli bullet just pushes everone that much further away from reaching 3, which is the only way to peace
No matter who is right, creating kids grow up to become terrorists is NOT going to help

I do think that Sharon holds the keys to this more than Arafat, but not because I assign more guilt to one side or the other.
Israel is a real, cohesive entity, and Sharon is a real politician.
Palestine, for all the flag waving, is not.
I don't think Arafat has the support, ability, authority, or moral right to control the Palestinian 'state' in the same way that Sharon can with Israel.

Yes I do. In fact I support the IDF in destroying every living breathing terrorist and terrorist supporter over there.

And I do also. Start with money and instigators in Mecca. Its not not genocide unless the dead are human, and I haven't seen anything remotely approaching humanity in a muzlum. No daisy cutters, no bunker busters, I'm talking megatonnage here. Turn all of sand land to glass, the sooner the better.

The article that you quoted says that the law was "relaxed" to include reservists who reached the rank of Major. I am beginning to think it is a pathology, your reading comprehension problems.

Israel OKs 60,000 more gun permits in terror fight

By Abraham Rabinovich - THE WASHINGTON TIMES - March 7 2002

'Sixty thousand additional gun permits are to be distributed to Israeli civilians as authorities loosen licensing restrictions to help fight a growing wave of terrorism.

Armed civilians have played a significant role in bringing down terrorists during the Palestinian uprising, most recently during an attack this week by a Palestinian gunman at a Tel Aviv restaurant where a wedding party was under way.

A 46-year-old civilian packing a pistol fatally shot the terrorist at close range after three persons had been killed and he had been wounded. When a radio reporter asked the man whether he was a member of the security forces, he said he was a shoe salesman. Police and Interior Ministry officials decided this week to make 60,000 more gun permits available to civilians, particularly reserve army officers and veterans of combat units.

Already, 265,000 guns are in civilian hands, particularly in border areas and the occupied territories. With terror now striking the Israeli heartland almost daily, officials decided to make more guns available there as well.'

No, I gave you an alternate source (one of your own, in fact)

Never go into an IQ-competition with your cat, Stealthy. You'll lose. Even if you have just dried the cat in the microwave.

I asked you for YOUR source, Adolph.

Was it wrong for America to use daisy-cutters in our war in Afghanistan?

It's not the hardware, it's the placement. We were wrong to bomb a passenger train in Serbia. We were wrong to bomb and level an entire village in Afghanistan that had no terrorists. And the IDF is wrong to kill children. And yes they do in fact target children:

"Ali Murad Abu Shaweesh was 12 when Israeli soldiers shot him in the back. Ali was killed on the same day in June, 2001 that Sharon refused to let the Israeli foreign minister, Shimon Peres, meet with Yasir Arafat, yet his death also went unnoticed by American television news. But not entirely unnoticed, since the Israeli soldiers, who taunted the Palestinian boys over loudspeakers outside the Khan Yunis refugee camp in the Gaza Strip, goading them to come out and throw rocks, did so under the gaze of Chris Hedges, a reporter for the New York Times.

"Children have been shot in other conflicts I have covered--death squads gunned them down in El Salvador and Guatemala, mothers with infants were lined up and massacred in Algeria, and Serb snipers put children in their sights...in Sarajevo--but I have never before watched soldiers entice children like mice into a trap and murder them for sport," Hedges wrote. His account, coolly factual yet full of passionate intensity, was written not for his own paper but for Harper's Magazine, which sent Hedges to Gaza on his vacation." The Nation, March 11, 2002

Mission statements are words.

Obviously, to Islamists words are meaningless. But to Americans and Israelis, words mean things.

You are trying and failing here. If your neighbor told the neighborhood for years that he wanted to kill you and your family, and he made every attempt to do so but had not succeed in completing the task, would you still say that his mission did not matter if your neighbors rebuked you for acting on that knowledge? Or should you ignore his mission because it's just words? LOL

What you're missing here, is the point that destroys your 3 choice statement. They will never get along. Never. Under any circumstances. The people we are talking about want genocide and the destruction of the Israelis. Getting along is not an option, and if one side is hellbent on genocide, then the other has to return the favor or cease to exist. Since this is the way it has to play out if they continue to exist next to one another, the only option would be to resettle the Palestinians to another region. The arab nations will not do this, because 1. some have already kicked them out, 2. they don't really care about the Palestinians, just their usefulness as a weapon against Israel, and 3. It really wouldn't matter anyway, because even if the Palestinians shut up and lived peacefully, there are plenty of others in the region who wouldn't rest until the Israelis were all dead.

Why is Isreal doing what it is doing?
Suicide bombers.
Why are there suicide bombers?
Because of what Isreal is doing.
Posed and Posted by Preacher_man

1. Israel is trying to survive as a nation.
2.Terrorist acts with the intent to provoke a response from Israel.
3.Fools and idiots
4.Bullshit, baloney, and crapola!

Preacher_man, Idon;t know if you can understand this or not , but Isreal has two options, be destroyed or destroy those whose only stated purpose is the destruction of Israel.

It must be a pathology. Face the facts:

Police and Interior Ministry officials decided this week to make 60,000 more gun permits available to civilians, particularly reserve army officers and veterans of combat units. Guns also are being issued to firemen and municipal inspectors while they are on duty.

Tyou want to deny the facts when they are in the sources you are providing is bizarre. It makes you look either extremely dumb or willfully ignorant.

The article that you quoted says that the law was "relaxed"

The gun laws in Israel has varied a bit over time. Not too long ago, a housewife on a shpping round killed a would-be suicide bomber, so there's currently no rule that only mil personnel or police can carry. At one point, fully automatic wepons were unlicensed, far as I know, you can now get your UZI but can't keep it at home unless special rules apply.

You lie, demi. Like a dog after dinner. Why don't you go back to where you were?

Chris Hedges, Harper’s, and Israel

'Chris Hedges’ “A Gaza Diary: Scenes from the Palestinian Uprising,” published in the September/October edition of Harper’s, is severely marred by material errors and grave anti-Israel bias. Despite being an experienced journalist, Mr. Hedges repeatedly offers verbatim Palestinian claims of Israeli misconduct without providing either an Israeli response or independent corroborating information. CAMERA has now fact-checked numerous allegations made by the reporter and has found many to be false. Following are some of the major errors identified.'

No, I would grab my Berreta .40 and pop a cap in his brain can. I wouldn't however, then tell everyone that I needed to do the same thing to his entire family and everyone who practiced his religion.

You guys are arguing with the functional equivalents of a bag of hammers and a box of rocks, respectively. No matter what you say or post, they'll ignore, swerve, dance around, or deny, deny, deny it. Remember, neither Stilty nor Demitasse is here to actually learn or contribute.

They're here for propaganda purposes only. And whom they support tells us all we need to know about them.
