No, it's pretty much all over the place right now. Congress wants a stronger backing of Israel, and multiple reports say that Powell and Bush are at odds over how the situation needs to be handled. I think Bush is fully capable of taking care of this situation the way it needs to be done, but he needs to get his people on the bandwagon.

I think we're just going to have to accept the fact that we can no longer have the cake and eat it too. We should shift our alliances to India, the new Afghan regime, Israel, Turkey & anybody like Qatar who might have to guts to buck the other Arabs (though I doubt it), and focus on importing oil from Russia's Caspian region, North & South American sources and start drilling in ANWR. Let them all go rot, and stop trying to appease them to get what we need.

Every community in Israel, be it a Kibbutz or a Settlement has an armoury as most Israeli males have been in the army when their turn comes to do ''shmera'' {gaurd duty} they will be issued a weapon usually an UZI sometimes an M16. There is also a sort of rapid reaction force in every settlement {by settlement I mean any isolated community on both sides of the green line} there job in a time of crisis is to secure there area and isolate any terrorists until the army arrives. In Judea Azza and the Shomron most of the citizens are armed {you can understand why}. Shalom

I will not rejoice if he is not re-elected, for that will mean that he failed to exert leadership. I am not for Bush, right or wrong. I want him to be right.
