As long as we're on the subject of punishment, I have been reading about an apparition site in Hrushiv, Ukraine, where apparently the Blessed Mother said "Chernobyl is a sign for the world."

In Ukranian, the word Chernobyl means "wormwood" (bitter), which also happens to be another name of Satan in revelations 8:10. [insert spooky music here]

I did a bit of research and found that Chernobyl, which is located on the northeastern Ukranian border only a few miles away from Belarus, has contaminated parts of Sweden, Poland, Finland, significant parts of Russia, Ukraine, Hungary, and The Czech Republic. That was just one plant, however there are 26 such plants in the former soviet union--and 9 should have been shut down years ago. I do not know if Putin has shut any of these dangerous plants down.

Asea, Brown, and Boveri [ABB]-- one of the largest electrical contractors in the world, says these plants are another disaster waiting to happen.

Not to be cryptic but..."And a third of the rivers fell...?"

Oh, almost forgot, I understand that many of those nuclear plants in Russia, which should have been dismantled, now sit idle with the radioactive material just sitting there, loosely guarded, easy pickings for anyone who wants to come along and take some of it to make nuclear weapons.

I also understand that if you want something in Russia, whether it be weapons, nuclear materials, whatever it may be, if you have enough money you can obtain it.
