This ruins all else that you say for me. The list is pre-selected, predetermined, and nothing will change it. What you just said is that NOTHING will change it.
The really important questions for you are these: Exactly why do you believe that God does not have the right to choose those whom He will save? What is your reason for believing that God cannot accomplish what He proposes?
(I believe that if you truly think about these you will see some of the glaring errors of your position.)
Why do you recoil in horror when Woody says the elect will be gathered whether or not I am a spiritual twit or not??
Do you honestly think that you are big enough to frustrate God's will? Do you really think that He cannot save His elect if you misbahave? What makes you think that He cannot raise up stones to worship Himself?
Do you think that the decrees of God are not immutable? Do you think that when God has foreknowledge of someone that this foreknowledge is subject to change? Did God in the middle of history decide Plan A was totally frustrated by the will of man and go for Plan B? Do you think that you are so powerful that if you act like a spiritual twit that somehow God must move on to Plan C? Is the blood ink of the Lamb eraseable?
Gosh, xzins, it is fun to be a Calvinist. I can rest in the knowledge that my strength and my heart are not obstacles for God to overcome, but autographs of His workmanship for His glory. For the battle belongs to the Lord; the victory is mine to enjoy. I can't screw up anybodys ultimate salvation for ALL things work together for good to those who... are THE CALLED.
Chill! You are my favorite Arminian.
Sorry you are not god..but if ya join the Mormons you can have a shot at it:>))
