Ward, thanks for a meaningful post. This will provide some good discussion on the subject from the other thread, "How does a Christian know that he/she IS a Christian?". We know it from this that Paul says. John indicates an element of obedience and an element of God-like love is also involved.

Ward - where was he going in this regard - Im not sure I understand his point. How can you be anything but emphatic once have recieved the Spirit?
