Those who have said that there are so many wonderful saints it's hard to choose -- I agree with you.

But you have managed to suggest three of my name saints, so I'm just a little biased.

I'll throw another one into the mix. How about Our Mother of Perpetual Help? I think we need endless help in this fight.

(And St. Michael the Archangel is part of the OMPH icon!)

Well, ELS has now listed twice my choice -St. Francis de Sales, patron saint of Catholic writers. Given this is, primarily, (or at least, supposedly) a written medium, he seems appropriate.

And, of course, I'd throw in St. Joseph just because, well, I really like him.

With respect to Divine Mercy Sunday, I just this evening finished the Novena begun on Good Friday and Father, know that the persecuted Christians of the Sudan are always in my prayers.
