So, in 100 years roughly, Communists killed worldwide about 100MM of their own citizenry.. in approximately 30 years abortion in the US has slaughtered 40MM-50MM.. or even if I use your estimate of 30MM... doesn't seem like a whole lot of difference to me in terms of effective wholesale slaughter.

Naw, the true length of time is no greater than 43 years (1917 - 1960).  An estimated 60 million were killed by communists between 1917 and 1945 (somewhat less than 30 years).  A like number has been estimated to have been killed by the ChiComs between 1945 and 1960.  So the overt murder rate is at still higher than the abortion rate.
