Yeah, it says in 1 Thess. 4:16 that the DEAD, read it DEAD in Christ shall rise first.verse17 Then we which are alive and remain, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds,to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Oh let me back up to the beginning of verse 16,For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a SHOUT, get that, a SHOUT!!No secret rapture here folls. And the DEAD will rise first. Ya gotta read it all folks. Don't let your preachers cut out a few words of a verse and say that it means something that it doesn't! Rapture theory is just a hoax. Now it does say some will be taken to a place of safety, on the wings of an eagle, but it's never been accertained by bible scholors what exactly that means. Some say protection of individual groups, all together in Petra, Canada, Oregon, ETC., eagle means jetliner, eagle means taken to safety by real eagles , etc. etc. Even with STRONGS CONCORDANCE, can't fiqure out the PLACE of SAFETY.

But what is the real point of that long post? Is it that if any rapture occurs, the dead are part of it?

This does make it very plain that SOMEONE is raptured, sometime, and there is nothing SECRET about it of course, only sworn enemies of the doctrine sneak that word in, since everyone knows it will cause quite a stir...the only thing secret is its date, in advance...

Yet all that said, I am no dispy, nor a futurist at all, but a historicist.

God will have a dozen raptures, a hundred, at different times for different groups if he so pleases...and none at all if THAT pleases Him.

2 and 6 are Rapture numbers, though, so look for it in 2002, 2006, 2012, 2016 and so on.
