The Neverending Story
An ongoing debate on Scripture, Tradition, History and Interpretation.
Statesmen may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand. The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue. - John Adams |

That's a very comprehesive post Mack. I can't look up a lot of it now but I will later. Do you think some of the seals are opened pre-rapture? I wonder how cnn and msnbc will spin on what happened to half the population? :')

Man, I wish I was old enough back then to remember that game. What a classic! I remember it. At the time the best part of it was that the Packers won their third straight NFL Championship, the first three-peat in NFL history. Over time, the game itself has become the focus (and rightly so). How those teams could play that well under those conditions is truly remarkable.

Let me ask you this. We agree that Jesus's followers believed that he was the messiah, that he had been resurrected, and that he was returning soon to complete his messianic mission. Why hasn't he returned yet? That's an easy one An...malakhi.:
2Pe 3:4 and saying, Where is the promise of His coming? For from which time the fathers fell asleep, all things remain so from the beginning of creation.
2Pe 3:5 For this is hidden from them by their willing it so, that heavens were of old, and earth by water, and through water, having subsisted by the Word of God,
2Pe 3:6 through which the world which then was, being flooded by water, perished.
2Pe 3:7 But the heavens and the earth now, having been stored up by the same Word, are being kept for fire to a day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
2Pe 3:8 But let not this one thing be hidden from you, beloved, that one day with the Lord is "as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." Psa. 90:4
2Pe 3:9 The Lord of the promise is not slow, as some deem slowness, but is long-suffering toward us, not having purposed any to perish, but all to come to repentance.

Whew, that was quite a post, Mack! I've skimmed through it, and will reread in closer detail when I have further time. The key thing, in response to my specific question, is that the messiah will return during the battle of Armageddon.

You must have sent that crazy stuff to us. If only this were so. We had freezing drizzle all night, to around 1/2 inch of ice accumulation. Now it is starting to snow, and we are expected to get 4-8" by tomorrow morning. High winds are expected to cause significant blowing and drifting.

Furthermore, it is possible to be saved by faith alone but never by works alone. Okay, I think I see what you mean.

Your weather is even worse than ours. We have severe weather warnings through Saturday, but it is for freezing rain, sleet, rain, and a little snow.
Don't let any of those Johnny Reb sissies know this, but at times like this, I envy them.
This, too, shall end.
