- holiness of the speakers
- direction of ill-will toward the government
- attack on evil to remove it from the world
- need for a new form of government
- scriptural blindness
- separation of men into "brethren" who are illuminated by the Holy Ghost, and "worldlings"
- a codification of truth
- a taboo on the instruments of critique
Gnostic propaganda is political action, not a search for truth. Gnoctics are vague about details of the transfigured world they envision, apart from the negation of current evils.
