Many of the Christians I have observed are very judgmental, intolerant, snobs who tend to look down their noses to non-Christians.

Oh, I tolerate them all the time. Identifying them as snobs doesn't mean that I don't tolerate them, it just means I recognize them for what they are.

It is necessary to identify a trait before you can make the choice to tolerate it. It's impossible to consciously choose to tolerate something unless you are aware of it's existence.
