Inclusion of adulterers and “persons identifying as LGBTQ” called for at the current Vatican meeting on Amoris Laetitia.
American Catholic moral theologian Prof. Julie Hanlon Rubio addressed the Vatican’s meeting marking the tenth anniversary of Amoris Laetitia on October 12.
Rubio recounted the case of an elderly woman with dementia who refused Communion because her husband had previously been married. The woman, she said, remembered that “she was not worthy to receive the Body of Christ.” Rubio presented the story as evidence that feelings of exclusion persist.
She also quoted Francis’s assertion that “the fact that … love [!] is imperfect doesn’t mean it’s false or unreal,” adding that human fragility is “not a problem to be solved but a fundamental element of our humanity to be integrated.”
Rubio again cited Francis: “No one can be condemned forever! It is not the logic of the Gospel!”
She said “this principle” should apply to “everyone.”
In a footnote, she specified whom she believed this should include: “Today this surely includes divorced persons, single parent families, blended families, cohabiting couples, and persons identifying as LGBTQ.”
Rubio concluded by urging the Church to welcome people “whether they are divorced, widowed, or remarried” and tell them that “theirs is a challenging and necessary vocation.”

So adulterous and sodomite relationships are "necessary vocations" in the synodal "church".
Rubio again cited Francis: “No one can be condemned forever! It is not the logic of the Gospel!”
If no one "can be condemned forever", Hell must be empty, as Pope Francis reportedly explained to Eugenio Scalfari.
N.B. "Hell" is mentioned in 24 verses in the New Testament; is that not Gospel?

The whole point of Confession is that condemnation does not last forever, but forgiveness comes after repentance. Our Lord did not say to the woman caught in adultery simply, “Neither do I condemn you,” but add the words “Go and sin no more!”
“…an elderly woman with dementia who refused Communion because her husband had previously been married. The woman, she said, remembered that “she was not worthy to receive the Body of Christ.” Rubio presented the story as evidence that feelings of exclusion persist.”
The remedy is don’t marry a guy who doesn’t have an annulment from his first marriage, then you won’t be excluded. And then you won’t feel excluded
Or, if realizing you want to be in communion with the church, move out, have the spouse get into communion with the church then get married. And if he doesn’t want to then it’s over
Go to confession and move on.
The dementia likely clarified her long term memory, reminding her of her catechesis. Marriage outside the church, when one is catholic, is adultery. It’s in the Ten Commandments. Pretty clear
Who is responsible his chick, Rubio?
Jesus revered the women in His life. They were the ones with Him at his death, His mother and MaryMagdalene (John was the only guy), but they were not clergy. They didn’t get involved with admin
Nothing in the inception of the Church was out of order
This is a lot of nonsense.
Oh geeze ‘ Who is responsible his chick, Rubio?’
Who is this chick, Rubio?
I looked her up btw. Eek.
ok, ok, pedophiles too! All untepentent sinners welcome. Chaste folks struggling with sexual temptations stay home!
