🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem🇮🇱 (10/3/26)[Prayer]

Personalities

Psalm 41[a]

For the director of music. A psalm of David.

1  Blessed are those who have regard for the weak;

    the Lord delivers them in times of trouble.

2  The Lord protects and preserves them—

    they are counted among the blessed in the land—

    he does not give them over to the desire of their foes.

3  The Lord sustains them on their sickbed

    and restores them from their bed of illness.

4  I said, “Have mercy on me, Lord;

    heal me, for I have sinned against you.”

5  My enemies say of me in malice,

    “When will he die and his name perish?”

6  When one of them comes to see me,

    he speaks falsely, while his heart gathers slander;

    then he goes out and spreads it around.

7  All my enemies whisper together against me;

    they imagine the worst for me, saying,

8  “A vile disease has afflicted him;

    he will never get up from the place where he lies.”

9  Even my close friend,

    someone I trusted,

one who shared my bread,

    has turned[b] against me.

10  But may you have mercy on me, Lord;

    raise me up, that I may repay them.

I know that you are pleased with me,

    for my enemy does not triumph over me.

12  Because of my integrity you uphold me

    and set me in your presence forever.

13  Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel,

    from everlasting to everlasting.

Amen and Amen.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Dear Father in Heaven,
Hallowed Be Your Name

Oh LORD,

Our God,

King of the Universe,

Ancient of Days,

Our Rock and Our Redeemer!

You Alone Are Worthy of Praise,

For You Alone Are Worthy,

You Alone Are Holy,

You Alone Are Righteous and Just,

And You Alone Are The One True God.

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.

God Bless America.

As a Songwriter, I learned the hard way about Intellectual property Rights. Indeed, on the very first Copyright Form I ever filled out when I was a young teenager, there was a question where you had to check "YES" or "NO". This was the Question:

"WAS THIS COMPOSITION MADE FOR HIRE?"

I always checked "NO", because, even if I was setting somebody else's words to music, it was a "Collaboration", NOT "For Hire".

Just as George didn't "hire" Ira, not did Rogers "hire" Hammerstein, neither were my collaborations. Checking the "Yes" box will get you into a whole heap of trouble with Royalties and Intellectual Property Rights later down the road.

However, if you work for a Publisher as a Staff Songwriter, the song belongs to your employer. Since you are getting paid to do a job and using the company's resources to produce your creative output, it's a lot harder to claim Property Rights. (That goes for writings produced on a Government Computer as well, just sayin') From my early teens to now (over 60 years), I've been very careful about filling out those forms.

We're going through Psalms to glean clues to David's personality, yet Today's Psalm bears the Subtitle:"Of The Sons of Korah". Who's Korah? Who are his Sons? Why isn't this Psalm and others included in the section of the Psalter attributed to David? Why is it included in David's Psalms if it's not by him?

Korah was a descendant of Levi, the Priestly Order. In the Book of Exodus, each of the "Sons" of Levi were given different tasks in the construction and transportation of the Tabernacle. This involved the playing of instruments, singing, and packing up and moving the whole thing from one place to another. The "Sons of Korah" were the Levitical Choir that David put together and trained for the Tabernacle once it was secure on the place we now call "The Temple Mount" in Jerusalem.

This Psalm could have been composed by David for The "Sons of Korah", or it could have been composed by a member of the Choir for their use under the Auspices of King David. This seems to be the case, especially since it speaks with longing about "The House of God", indicating a later date after the destruction of the Temple.

Nevertheless, the Ancient Sages, in their wisdom, included these "Choir Psalms" with those attributed to David.

It certainly bears his style

Since the Holy Bible is inspired by The Holy Spirit, it can be said that there's ONE Real Author over the Whole Thing.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. (Mark 4:22)

God Bless America.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Psalm 91

1 You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,*
2 will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.’
3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the deadly pestilence;
4 he will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
5 You will not fear the terror of the night,
or the arrow that flies by day,
6 or the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
or the destruction that wastes at noonday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only look with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 Because you have made the Lord your refuge,*
the Most High your dwelling-place,
10 no evil shall befall you,
no scourge come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will bear you up,
so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the adder,
the young lion and the serpent you will trample under foot.

14 Those who love me, I will deliver;
I will protect those who know my name.
15 When they call to me, I will answer them;
I will be with them in trouble,
I will rescue them and honour them.
16 With long life I will satisfy them,
and show them my salvation.
