The nuclear force that holds all things together is the power of Jesus, the Great “I AM” of the entire creation. Without him nothing can or ever will exist. A physical world created out of light, photons, in his sight, like a quantum string vs. particle manifesting into existence depending on the observer. Now imagine when ALL the atoms of the world, the solar system, galaxy, or even the entire universe is being pulled apart by his authority and power. This is what Peter means when he says, what manner of persons ought we to be:

Then, nearing the end of the Book of Revelation, we’re shown where everything we perceive in our flesh being IN this world, is fled away, being removed away from God and his Throne, we must be restored and WITH HIM at this moment:
“And I saw a great white throne and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away, and there was found no place for them.” - Revelation 20:11
