Peter's First Sermon: Men of Israel, Hear these words....
Bible Gateway ^ | c. 80-90 A.D. | Acts of the Apostles

“Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works...

This Jesus, delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men....

God raised him up, because it was not possible for him to be held by it...

“Brothers, I may say to you about the patriarch David...knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that he would set one of his descendants on his throne, he foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ..."

Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”

And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.”

More Bible Cites:

John 19:6 & 15: “When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him,
they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him...” (John 19:6, KJV).

Later, “But they cried out, Away with him,
away with him, crucify him” (John 19:15, KJV).

Matthew 27:22-23: “They all say unto him, Let him be crucified”.

Mark 15:13-14: “And they cried out again, Crucify him”.

Luke 23:21: “But they shouted, ‘Crucify! Crucify him!’”.

This event happened at the trial before Pilate,
leading Pilate to hand Jesus over to be crucified.
