2 Cor. 4:17,18 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Every circumstance has two sides, one side already in manifestation, that you can see(which is fact) and the other side is in spiritual form, unseen(which is truth). John 8:31,32 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. And Jesus said in John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. Truth in it's spiritual form doesn't profit you until it becomes manifested/physical/fruit. God has a life for you in the spiritual just outside of your senses that has to be received by us not done by him. Because, the scriptures talks about things not seen, well if there are things not seen that means they don't have to be done by God. Heb. 11:1 says, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. The things you can see are made of physical substance, but the things you can't see of God are made of a spiritual substance called faith.
(Just a note: If you think it is too long to read you might can have your computer read it for you)
Matt 17:20 people miss the meat of what God was saying. And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. ( Let's break this down, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed and some people say the size of a mustard seed, but the point He's making is faith works like a seed. So let's compare faith with a seed. First, faith in Hebrews 11:1 says that faith is the substance and evidence of things. And a seed is the same thing, it's the substance and evidence of something. When you have a seed there's two things we know, 1. there was a fruit before that seed. You can't have an apple seed unless there was first an apple. And 2. that seed will produce a copy of it. When you plant a seed and it comes up can you dig up the ground and find the seed, no, because you are looking at it. What you are looking at is that seed.
So, understand in order for you to have faith as a seed, there has to be a finished work first. Every seed is the product of a finished work of God. So, you can't say you have faith for something from God unless it's done first. Because, how can you have the substance and evidence of something that doesn't exist, you can't. Faith is not for something to be done in the future, it's for what already is, but in the spiritual, things not seen. If God has to do it, then it's not done, and if it's not done how in the world can you have the substance and evidence of it. So, the first point is for you to have faith for something from God He has to do it first. So, the finished work has to be first before the faith for it.) (Then it says, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; when you have faith in your heart your mouth will open. Because, the heart and the mouth are connected. Matthew 12:34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
Also in 2 Corinthians 4:13 it says, We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak. It's just like eating natural food and drinking natural drink, what you take in at some point it's going to come out. So, you speak or release what's in you.) (And then it says, and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. You will have outside what you had inside. Matthew 12:34,35 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. 35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. Your treasure is whatever has been hidden in your heart. So, what's inside is brought forth to the outside by speaking. Luke says the same thing in Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. )
Faith in the heart and released out causes the thing unseen to become seen. What faith is the substance and evidence of, when it's in you and you release it by speaking it that unseen thing will become seen or manifested or fruit. And when the unseen becomes seen then what was seen will have to go. Notice, in 1 Corinthians 1:26-28 it reads, For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: 27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are. God uses things which are not (manifested)(spiritual) to bring to nought things that are (manifested)(physical). That's how the truth makes you free. That's how you override this worlds facts with God's truths. 1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
All this coincides with what Jesus taught in Mark chapter 4 that the heart of man is ground and words are seeds. And he said in verse 24 of that chapter, And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. Take heed what you hear, why, because faith comes by hearing. And if you keep hearing the wrong thing you will eventually start talking it and bring it forth. Notice, in James 1:26 it says, If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain. How do you deceive your heart, when you speak something you don't want, you are sowing seeds of what you don't want, but ground grows whatever you put in it. So, you are bringing forth the very thing you don't want. You can't live this life just on the flesh side, when you are also spirit. You are more spirit than you are flesh. But, people have a tendency to only identify with the flesh. But, the spiritual is higher than the physical which mean the spiritual has authority over the physical. So, the greater reality is spiritual.
There are realities in the spiritual that will override the realities of the physical that you can bring forth and do like God use what is not manifested to bring to nought what is manifested. Someone might be thinking, well that was God, but in Matthew 21:21 Jesus said, Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. Gen. 17:4,5 it reads-- As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. 5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. When God said that his body was in no physical condition to be that, because in Romans 4:19 it says his body was dead. And a dead body can not be a father of many nations. So, him being a father of many nations was a spiritual reality while not yet manifested in this physical realm. Notice, what God did, He got him speaking in line with his word. Why, because faith comes by hearing, God knew he had to get that seed in his heart.
Because, you see back in Genesis 12:2 God told him, And I will make of thee a great nation. And in verse 7 of that same chapter it says, And the Lord appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land. But, as time passed he got impatient, you see in Genesis 15:1-4 After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. And Abram said, Lord God, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus? 3 And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir. 4 And, behold, the word of the Lord came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir. God promised him a child out of his own bowels and then in Genesis 17 tells him that He has made him a father of many nations after his body was in no condition to be a father of many nations. So, when God changed his name, what He did is give him a word seed to sow in his heart, for Abraham means=father of a multitude.
So, let's track this (1st) faith comes by hearing,(2nd) then out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks,(3rd) and when the mouth speaks out of the abundance of the heart you will bring forth that thing, for he did have a child out of his own bowels. Somewhere along the way faith came because in Romans 4:20 it says that Abraham was strong in faith. Faith has a function, it's not some cute thing that you just keep in your heart. Faith starts in your heart, but at some point it is suppose to be released and it's released for you to see outside what you had inside. If you are going to get rid of a manifestation then you have to do it from the spiritual. And faith is going to be what you use to do it. Faith and the word of God is the same thing, in Romans 10:8 it's called the word of faith. So, the word is what you're going to use to change the manifestation. But, you have to release it in the spiritual, that's when the word is in you and when the word is in then faith is in you. Sometimes people come up with natural conclusions, but we are not subject to natural conclusions, because we can operate outside of the natural. Where natural conclusions have to bow to God's word. Natural facts have to bow to God's truths. But, to operate outside of the natural you are going to have to do by faith.
When something is working against you in this natural realm, you need something greater working for you in the spiritual, and that's faith. Notice, Jesus said if you have faith as a seed, you shall say, and it will do. He didn't say it was a good chance it would, he said it shall. That means it's already set, Isaiah 46:9,10 says, God calls the end from the beginning. So, God don't wait to see what's going to happen at the end, no. He establishes the end from the beginning, Psalm 119:89 says, For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven. It's settled in heaven, now we have to establish it here. Because, since God gave man dominion, the heart of man is the legal entrance for the truths of God to enter this physical realm. Notice how God does it, Roman 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. He speaks it, you take that word in, and agree with it and bring it forth. With the mouth confession is made unto, so you can't wait to see it before you speak it. You can't confess unto if it's already there, so apparently you can't wait to see it before you speak it. We are made in God's image and likeness and God don't wait to see something before He speaks it, no, He speaks to see. God doesn't want you just speaking, He want you seeing. But, your speaking has to be with faith. Remember 1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
It is not God's will that any should perish. And I wouldn't want to end this article without giving someone the opportunity to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It's very easy just pray: Dear God- I know I have sinned and I now turn from them and I invite Jesus to come into my heart (Revelation 3:20). He died for my sins and you have raised him from the dead and I now confess Jesus is my Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9,10). I thank you for saving me, Amen
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name (John 1:12). 1 Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. Romans 5:8-10 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. [9] Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. [10] For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 2 Peter 3:9 King James Version 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
