🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem 🇮🇱(1/2/26)[Prayer]

A New Study For A New Year: Personalities

Genesis 2:15-20

15 And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

18 And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

19 And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Lord and Heavenly Father

LORD Strong and Mighty

You are The Sword

You Are Our Defense

You Stand With us and Fight for us.

Mighty in Battle,

And Standing For Righteousness.

You Alone are the One True God Over All!

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.

”The Greatest Of these Is Love.”

If you would like to be on or off the Daily Ping List, please let me know.

Amen!!! <>< (NOTE:We must pray this daily from here on out. Getting obvious now!)

Psalm 91

1 You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,*
2 will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.’
3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the deadly pestilence;
4 he will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
5 You will not fear the terror of the night,
or the arrow that flies by day,
6 or the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
or the destruction that wastes at noonday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only look with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 Because you have made the Lord your refuge,*
the Most High your dwelling-place,
10 no evil shall befall you,
no scourge come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will bear you up,
so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the adder,
the young lion and the serpent you will trample under foot.

14 Those who love me, I will deliver;
I will protect those who know my name.
15 When they call to me, I will answer them;
I will be with them in trouble,
I will rescue them and honour them.

Just a few days ago, I was in my car waiting in line to do some banking. In front of me was a car with a lot of "Bumpah Stickahs" (Boston for "Bumper Stickers). Naturally, with nothing else to do but wait in line, I started to read them. One of them caught my eye:

MAY LIFE TREAT YOU
THE WAY YOU TREAT ANIMALS

While I probably wouldn't go THAT far, I really love animals and treat them with a lot of affection.

Being kind to animals doesn't extend to the notion that we live in a Disney Movie. They're not all cute and cuddly, and some of them will kill you if you get too close.

Years ago, on the Island of Kauai, my husband and I went horseback riding in the mountains. I was given a handsome brown male named "Koa". I figured he got that name from his brown color, like that of the Tropical Hardwood. As soon as I mounted the horse, he got nasty. He kept trying to dislodge me from his back, and even turned his head and tried to bite me. I put up with it for a little while, but, right in the middle of crossing a stream, I'd had enough. I demanded that the Trail Boss and I change horses, right there in Midstream!

Later, that afternoon, as we munched on a Plate Lunch in Hanalei, the waitress overhead me talking about what a nasty horse I had gotten that morning.

"Ohhhh. You got KOA!" she chuckled. "He was named after the Ancient Hawaiian God of WAR!"

Seems like Koa had a "reputation" on the island.

A personality trait that seems to be common to all humans is the Desire to Name things. My 71-year old brother still calls me "May-May" because that was the first name he gave me 70 years ago. One of the first question we ask a new Mom, (or even a recipient of a new puppy) is:

"What's his/her NAME?"

Your Name belongs to YOU, and, even if somebody else share your name, it still identifies WHO you are.

God has told us in His Word that His Name is Holy. He treasures His Name, and has set it apart from other names and even language, and has given us the Commandment not to profane it.

By giving Adam the privilege of naming the animals, God has given humans a little bit of HIS "personality". After all, He made us "in His Image", which I interpret as Him giving us attributes that place us a notch above His other creatures.

One of these attributes is creativity, and another is the ability and passion for names.

By naming an animal, we become bonded to them. It may be appropriate to name a cow who lives in a barn and provides milk for a family. It's not so appropriate to name each member of a herd that is being led to the stockyards to be made into meat.

The Garden of Eden was a different place than Planet Earth is now. There were no "wild" animals. You could snuggle up to a Lion named "Ari" or to an eagle named "Nesher". Cruelty wasn't even in the picture back then. Life was treating Adam the same way he treated Animals.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

”Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.” (Hosea 6:3 NIV)

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Amen to your prayer and good story. Quite a test sometimes in dealing with “pets’ appropriately. Patience, consistency, and understanding helps. Thank you Jesus for these wonderful companions.

I took care of a lady like this once, the very large dog would watch anyone who came into the room very closely as you did your care!
