They also stress that previous popes, such as Pius XI, Pius XII and John Paul II, have explained the meaning of the title, and taught that Mary is the “New Eve.” The DDF document, they conclude, “is not merely discouraging the Co-redemptrix title; it is also failing to teach in a positive way Mary’s truly redemptive role with and under Jesus in Redemption as put forth by the Papal Magisterium.”

Especially the two titles above which are bolded (Gate of heaven and Refuge of sinners) suggest that within Catholicism, Mary has a role in one's salvation, which is consistent with other declarations it has made about her, including from papal encyclicals. Besides all of the aforementioned, Mary is also called the Spouse of the Holy Spirit, the Second Eve, New Eve and because of the Fatima apparitions Mary is called Our Lady of Fatima.
Names Of Mary IDENTICAL With God and Jesus
Catholicism has also dubbed Mary with the titles of Glory of Israel, Morning Star and Help of Christians as you just read. Please note the following Scriptures, which state these are all titles for God himself or the names of Jesus:
He who is the Glory of Israel does not lie or change his mind; for he is not a man, that he should change his mind. (1 Sam 15:29)
I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star. (Rev 22:16)
So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" (Heb 13:6)
Besides the Mary of Catholicism being the revival of Jesus, the fabricated Catholic Mary is strangely called Virgin daughter of Zion, a term attributed in Scripture to the city of Jerusalem (as is Daughter of Zion):
What can I say for you? With what can I compare you, O Daughter of Jerusalem? To what can I liken you, that I may comfort you, O Virgin Daughter of Zion? Your wound is as deep as the sea. Who can heal you? The visions of your prophets were false and worthless; they did not expose your sin to ward off your captivity. The oracles they gave you were false and misleading. (Lam 2:13, 14)
This is the word that the LORD has spoken against him: "The Virgin Daughter of Zion despises you and mocks you. The Daughter of Jerusalem tosses her head as you flee." (2 Ki 19:21)

Papal Encyclicals Stating Mary Has A Role In Salvation
Alphonsus Liguori's Prayer To Mary For His Salvation
One of the best known Catholic saints is Alphonsus M. de' Liguori. (The "M" in his name is for Mary.) He gave the Catholic church the following Mary prayer, which carries with it an indulgence of 3 years. Please note how the Mary of Catholicism is viewed, not only by this canonized Catholic saint, but also by the Catholic church hierarchy as a whole by their endorsement of a 3 year indulgence for praying this prayer written by him. The Mary of this Catholic saint is graphically portrayed in the following prayer to her centering around salvation:
Most holy Virgin Immaculate, my Mother Mary, to thee who art the Mother of my Lord, the Queen of the universe, the advocate, the hope, the refuge of sinners, I who am the most miserable of all sinners, have recourse this day. I venerate thee, great Queen, and I thank thee for the many graces thou hast bestowed upon me even unto this day; in particular for having delivered me from the hell which I have so often deserved by my sins. I love thee, most dear Lady; and for the love I bear thee, I promise to serve thee willingly for ever and to do what I can to make thee loved by others also. I place in thee all my hopes for salvation; accept me as thy servant and shelter me under thy mantle, thou who art the Mother of mercy. From that prayer is a crystal clear teaching which points one, not to the Lord Jesus, but instead to Mary. It becomes painfully obvious that the many Catholics who believe (and pray) this way, think Mary can do all of the following:
Mary is Queen of the universe, the advocate, the hope, the refuge of sinners;
Mary is to be thanked for deliverance from hell;
Mary is to be thanked for bestowing many graces;
Mary is to be served;
Mary protects and guards as a shelter and Mother of mercies;
Mary is our entire hope of being saved from hell;
Mary is to be our entire hope of salvation;
Mary is asked to deliver us from all our sinful temptations;
Mary can obtain the strength we need to overcome temptations;
Mary can assist us through life, but especially at the very end;
Mary's mercies are mentioned in praise songs to her by those in heaven;
This is clear, undeniable and incontestable proof that Catholicism teaches that Mary has a role in one's salvation, as she is to be prayed to and trusted in for all of the aforementioned.
Is Mary The Mother of Sorrows Too
The Mary of the Bible has been grossly misrepresented and changed by Catholicism into a sinless, virgin, queen of the universe, gate of heaven and refuge of sinners, who is to be trusted in for salvation and deliverance from hell. Dear reader, as kindly as it can be written, please know that this kind of emphasis on Mary is idolatrous, as well as being contradictory and antithetical to the teachings of the Lord Jesus and his apostles. Our faith, trust and hope are to be 100% in Jesus, who is our life and the only way to heaven, according to Scripture. He alone can lead us to Paradise. He is the gate of heaven and refuge of sinners. Salvation hinges on us repenting from our sins and placing a trusting-submissive faith in Jesus. Notice how Jesus is magnified in the following Scripture:
He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. (1 John 5:12)
As sincere as you may be, you must turn away from your idolatry or you will perish:
But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars -- their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death. (Rev 21:8)

When Ligouri is mentioned romans are quick to minimize his writings as just private thoughts. Though he is a doctor of the church IIRC. He’s not some random nobody. Yet, his writings and others, especially in this period, are very influential in Rome’s mariolatry.

Romans have been asked to deny his writings but they haven’t this far.

It figures that the religion that prides itself on being founded by a person Jesus turned to and called “Satan” has a religion around Mary that needs “ologists.”

Some people mistakenly think that the term refers to Christ’s conception in Mary’s womb without the intervention of a human father (that is called the Incarnation and is indeed celebrated nine months before Christmas).

The Immaculate Conception is a Catholic dogma that states that Mary, whose conception was brought about the normal way, was conceived without original sin or its stain. The Church teaches that while this was not strictly necessary, it was fitting to have a sinless womb to contain Jesus, the Second Person of the Holy Trinity.

So now the prots have problems, not only with Mary, but also St. Peter.
