St Susanna Parish in Denham, Massachusetts, USA is an active Pax Christi parish. For this year's outdoor Nativity scene, the figurines of the Holy Family are not displayed - instead, the parish placed a sign: "ICE was here."
When contacted by a Boston Globe reporter who asked if the photo was authentic and if ICE actually had visited the church, St Susanna's pastor Fr Steve Josomo confirmed the veracity of the image and wrote the following response:
"Each year our Peace and Justice group (Pax Christi) tries to hold a mirror up to the world around us and reflect the celebration of Christmas ( the mystery of the Incarnation) with the reality of the world around us.
"The divine became flesh not in a palace at the centre of an empire but on the margins of life through a lowly people - born in a manger.
"This insignificant infant threatened a jealous king to the point of him ordering the killing of all children up to a certain age to eliminate this perceived threat. I always wondered what kind of men (soldiers) would carry out such a cruel and brutal order.
"It seems we are living in a time when that dynamic is now part of daily life. We see it in the work of ICE.
"It is reported that ICE is specifically targeting churches this season from Thanksgiving to Christmas. It is also reported that that the majority of these deportations are of people who have no criminal records. People in our parish have known targeted people- one who served time in prison and led an exemplary life afterwards serving those re-entering society after being released from prison.
"We also have had the privilege of assisting 10 refugee families resettle in the area since 2018 ( from Burundi, Afghanistan, Honduras, Guatemala and Myanmar). These families have all experienced trauma (witnessing family members being killed, etc.) and carry both physical and emotional scars that will be with them for a long time. They come seeking a place of safety, and a chance to heal and live their lives in peace. Assisting these families in resettlement and accompanying them on their journey has touched and transformed many of the members of our Refugee Resettlement Collaborative over the years.
"Some of these people are now worried that despite following all the rules to date that the current administration is retroactively changing the rules and putting them at risk of being deported to places where they would face certain violence, if not death. (As I mentioned, one man has already died after being returned to his place of birth.)
"Of course this is all being carried out by the masked men in unmarked cars. While they have not (yet) come to our church, they have been reported in Denham removing parents from their children at school bus pick up spots while telling onlookers they are removing some 'bad people' from the neighborhood.
"As this brutality unfolds and becomes commonplace, we look to the promise of the peace Christ brings into the world at Christmas. We commit ourselves to the way of His nonviolent love to all people, particularly those on the margins of life who have been deemed expendable and whose dignity is denied.
"This Christmas it seems the administration - in the name of Christianity - is extinguishing the very spirit that the babe born in a manger brought into the world.
"Symbolically, our Holy Family is safe in the sanctuary of our church - church writ as the people of God.
".... Hope that helps answer your questions.
"Peace, Fr Stephen Josoma"

Frankenbishops are notorious liars.
Ping
I don’t even get the allusion.
Are they saying Jews are illegal aliens in Israel?
Fits with the twisted leftist narrative of Jews being colonizers in Israel, I suppose, in addition to being sacrilegious.
Should be a Bee story. When I was in (a Catholic) school a teacher would put the Three Kings at the back of the room, and move them forward each day. One of us would occasionally steal them and put them in a victim’s desk, where they would be found.
Lots of fun for young heathens.
“It is reported”
Fake news preacher man
Damnable fools.
I guess nowadays they’ll let anyone be a “man of the cloth”.
Pax Christi: Marxists posing as Catholics.
Their parish has really had some winners:

Priest suspended after documents allege he fathered children

BOSTON — At first, the Rev. James D. Foley denied allegations he’d fathered children or failed to call for help when their mother overdosed, saying his record was “beyond reproach.”
That was before he was shown a letter he wrote to archdiocese officials, in which he offered his regret and asserted that the circumstances of the woman’s death would never see the light of day.
“It’s all true,” he told The Boston Globe of his relationship with the woman. “Everything in the letter is true.”. .
However, less than two years after the 1993 revelations, Foley was being eased back, with some restrictions into parish life.
Some priests said they were demoralized by the damaging revelations. One priest said Cardinal Bernard Law should step down.
“It’s beyond time for him to leave,” the Rev. Stephen S. Josoma, pastor of Saint Susanna Church in Dedham, told the Globe. “It’s clear now that they knew all along and didn’t do anything, and that they moved people around again and again, despite their denials.” . . .
Sounds like they do need a visit from ICE:

In 2000, average attendance at Sunday mass was 1,671, making it the 63rd most active parish out of the 357 parishes then in the archdiocese.[11] It performed the 314th most sacraments in 2001–2002.[11]
The parish garnered the attention of national media during Advent 2018 when the Nativity scene outside of the church showed the Baby Jesus in a cage and the three wise men separated from the others by a fence labeled “deportation.” The scene was a statement on the Trump administration family separation policy and on the condition of refugees more generally.[12]
The parish is a member of Parishes Organized to Welcome Immigrants and Refugees (POWIR).[13]
Their all rotten liars. Josama is the one lied about ICE visiting his church.
That is definitely sacrilegious - defaming what is intended symbolically to be Christ’s birth in a manger...Take the manger scene away and do whatever you want with your ICE protest...
It’s the Catholic, Baptist and Lutheran charities that aid these people coming from foreign countries to the U. S., support them for awhile and then let the states where they’ve settled have that burden.
“Catholic, Baptist and Lutheran charities”
Are about as Catholic, Baptist, or Lutheran as the Anti-Defamation League is Jewish.
Pretty much any national NGO or “charity” from these to the Salvation Army to the Red Cross or United Way is nothing but a corrupt Deep State pit.
I have no words for such idiocy.
Being in a different “state” by order of the government (for taxation purposes) does not mean the people are illegal - it means they were taxpayers obeying the law.
ICE is cleaning up what devil worshipers have done to this country.
Besides the grossness of a church getting involved in politics it’s extra gross when they drag the name of the savior into it.
That would be the last time I attended Mass in that parish.
