Beloved, this is absolutely mindblowing to me! The Lord Jesus perfectly understood Daniel 9:24-27 and used this prophetic text in Matthew 18:21-22 as an example of what full and complete forgiveness is in RIGHTEOUSNESS! I wonder if the Peter truly understood what text Jesus was referring to and its complete meaning, as Jesus taught Peter this Divine lesson on true and complete forgiveness and its restoration in RIGHTEOUSNESS!
I wonder if the Peter truly understood what text Jesus was referring to as He taught Peter this Divine lesson on true and complete forgiveness and restoration in RIGHTEOUSNESS!
The Lord Jesus also testified as He carried His cross to the children of Israel of that day, and stated in Luke 19:41-43 that, "Only if they knew the time of their visitation" and what would happen in the near future as a result of their being ignorant of the wonderful prophetic truths found in Daniel 9:24-26. O beloved, how many believers in the risen Savior of today miss all the signs and wonders of our hour! No wonder the Rapture Trumpet for the Body of Christ will come as a thief to many in these ever-growing EXPONENTIAL Last Days (1 Thess. 4:13-18; 5:1-4)!
Beloved, below is a brief outline of Jesus' message to Peter on full and complete forgiveness in RIGHTEOUSNESS and its complete and full reconciliation of both parties! Also, it is a deeper look into the beautiful love and reconciliation of Yahweh God with His people Israel in the near future (Zech. 12-14)! The very One teaching Peter on forgiveness and reconciliation in RIGHTEOUSNESS, will be the very One who will be the propitiation for Israel, but also the whole world (Isa. 53, 1 John 4:7-10)! O beloved! How absolutely beautiful is that!
Divine Restoration and Forgiveness in RIGHTEOUSNESS - Daniel 9:24-27
1. “Seventy Times Seven” Comes Directly From Daniel’s Prophecy When Jesus said:
“I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.” — Matthew 18:22
He used the exact language of Daniel 9:24:
“Seventy weeks (seventy sevens) are determined upon thy people…”
Daniel’s phrase “70 weeks” literally means:
70 × 7 = 490 years In Hebrew:
shabuim = “sevens”
So 70 sevens = 490
Jesus’ wording directly echoes Daniel’s timeline.
2. Daniel’s 490-Year Prophetic Clock Daniel 9:24–27 lays out six purposes God will accomplish within these “70 sevens”:
Finish the transgression
Make an end of sins
Make reconciliation for iniquity
Bring in everlasting righteousness
Seal up the vision and prophecy
Anoint the Most Holy
These are fulfilled in stages:
First 69 weeks (483 years) → Messiah comes
Gap (church age)
Final 70th week (7 years) → tribulation, covenant, abomination of desolation, restoration
Thus, “70 × 7” is a complete, divine cycle of redemption.
3. Why Jesus Used “70 × 7” in Matthew 18 When Peter asked Jesus how often to forgive, Jesus responded:
“70 × 7” — the Daniel number — the number of God’s complete forgiveness. This is not accidental.
Jesus was teaching: As God is completing His 490-year plan to forgive Israel, so you must forgive fully and completely.
It’s a prophetic hint pointing back to Daniel’s countdown of forgiveness and reconciliation:
Daniel 9:24 → “to make an end of sins”
Matthew 18 → forgive without limit
Jesus was saying:
Forgive as God forgives: completely, fully, perfectly — “70 sevens.”
4. The Deeper Biblical Connection A. 490 is the number of complete redemption cycles in Scripture 490 appears repeatedly:
70 × 7 = 490 years of Israel’s sabbath-rest violations → leading to Babylon (2 Chron. 36:21)
70 × 7 = Daniel’s prophetic timetable
70 × 7 = Jesus’ call for complete forgiveness
It always symbolizes:
Divine completion, forgiveness, restoration, Jubilee, and release. B. Daniel’s 490 years are about God forgiving Israel Daniel 9:24 emphasizes forgiveness:
end of sins
reconciliation
everlasting righteousness
Jesus uses the same number to teach:
Forgive the way God forgives.
5. Summary: How “70 × 7” Connects to Daniel 9:24–27
1. Daniel’s prophecy = 70 sevens (70 × 7 = 490) 2. Jesus intentionally uses the same phrase in Matthew 18. 3. Both contexts deal with forgiveness, reconciliation, and completing God’s plan. 4. 490 becomes the biblical symbol for God’s full, complete, divine cycle of redemption. 5. The 70th week of Daniel (the last seven) is the final stage of God completing His promise to Israel.
Maranatha! The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!
that’s a good article
That’s an interesting take on that. I never thought of it that way before.
Thanks for posting.
I think it has more to do with Jewish numerology than any literal amount of time. In Jewish numerology 7 represents divine perfection. 70 represents all the nations of the world. 7×70 means bringing God’s perfection to all of the nations of the world. Gods perfection brought to man represents Jesus. “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation”.
(Matthew 16:15)
[Final 70th week (7 years) → tribulation, covenant, Abomination of Desolation, restoration]
Amen. ✝️✝️🙏🙏🛐🛐
Yes and there are 7 levels of Heaven, which Mohammed also copied, along with a lot of other stuff.
These are fulfilled in stages:
First 69 weeks (483 years) → Messiah comes
Gap (church age)
Final 70th week (7 years) → tribulation, covenant, abomination of desolation, restoration
Why would there be a “gap” of >2000 years when the 70 weeks (490 YEARS) is the first part of the longer (no gap) 2300 day YEAR prophecy and clear from Daniel that they begin on exactly the same date? Why can’t dispensationalists explain that?

Nothing really to explain; two vehicles , One Driver; ignorance of the Body of Christ will be the ignorance of the simple teaching of biblical dispensationalism😊
Maranatha 😊
Thank you and Maranatha 👍☝️😊
——>Nothing really to explain; two vehicles , One Driver
Ummm, no. That is a complete misunderstanding of prophecy.
Here’s a better analogy: A train leaves the station on a 2300-mile trip. It has ONE stop to make at the 490-mile mark. Afterwards it continues NON-STOP to its final destination at the 2,300-mile mark.
I agree mostly with what is written on your website, however I would respectfully say the timing can be made more precise, I’ll share what I believe and you can use it if helpful, if not then ignore.
Also, it is not Six things in Daniel Chapter 9:24 as most suppose, there are Seven: ‘to Seal up the Vision and Prophecy’ these are not the same thing. A vision is a helper not unlike a dream, an image that requires the spirit to see it and then to tune it in, like an old style TV channel without a decoder it is gibberish or all analog snow or now digital pixelated. I also believe Satan does not and cannot decode these accurately. However prophecy is like a legal document as the testimony of Jesus. Once written down it is secured in stone, it cannot be undone or broken by any power on this Earth or from Hell. Satan can understand it as well as anyone can when allowed to be unsealed by God. This is why he resisted Gabriel so desperately from ever reaching Daniel with this new critical information.
“And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.” - Leviticus 26:18
“And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it. And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste. Then shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye be in your enemies’ land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths. As long as it lieth desolate it shall rest; because it did not rest in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it.” Leviticus 26:32-35
Ezekiel was shown the pattern from God of the day for a year count:
“Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear their iniquity. For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel. And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.“ Ezekiel 4:4-6
430 days or 390 + 40 = 430 years
430 years minus the 70 years completed in Babylon = 360 years remaining.
Each day is a year, subtract the Seventy years accomplished in Babylon which then = 360 years remaining unaccounted. If Israel still did not keep the Sabbath and the Law as directed by God, which we know they did not, then Seven times more would be required for the land to lie fallow and complete its Sabbath rest.
7 times more if they returned and did not fulfill the law as it is written,
7 x 360 years = 2520 years or exactly 907,200 days.
Israel has now been restored to the land the second time, there is only a “second time” as shown in Isaiah Chapter 11 verse 11 and written down as prophecy a century before they would be taken away the first time beginning with the three sieges of Nebuchadnezzar starting in July of 606 BC and counting to to the 9th day of AV in 587 BC.
70 years completed, then seven times more for the remainder 7x360 years = 2520 Years
25,200 days = 70 years
907,200 days = 2520 years
July 23, 606 BC |<–25200 days–>|<—-907200 days—->|May 14th 1948 Israel Restored
August 16, 587 BC |<–25200 days–>|<—-907200 days—->|June 7th 1967 Jerusalem Restored
July 23, 606 BC |<—6964 days—>| August 16, 587 BC 9th of AV Temple Desolation, Jerusalem Destroyed
May 14, 1948 |<—6964 days—>| June 7th 1967 Six-Day War Jerusalem Restored
Israel had to maintain the mechanism of the Holy Laws and Ordinances and when they did not keep it, when they did not let the land lie fallow they had to work through the punitive measures to maintain its Holiness before the Lord. Israel is the transgressor of the Law that Gabriel describes in Daniel Chapter 7, where the Court will sit in judgement. This is what Satan is trying to prevent from happening right now today by dividing Jerusalem away from the restoration and its final Jubilee release back to its original owner as the inheritance for Jesus. This is very close to occurring on the world stage, this is also why Satan is building a wall around Judea and Samaria, walled dwellings do not go out in the Jubilee release back to their original owner (God) see Leviticus Chapter 26.
Gabriel describes the 490 years in Daniel Chapter 9.
March 14, 445 BC, as the starting point of the 490 years (or seventy sevens) determined and is 69 sevens (x360 days) or 173,880 days exactly counting to April 6th, 32 AD
March 14th, 445 BC —-483 years—-> April 6th,32 AD
However Gabriel stated directly that Messiah would be cutoff at 62 sevens (434 years) accomplished but not including the entire 483 years that would be counted on the clock for Israel thus leaving 49 years and then a final 7 years unaccounted for or 56 years total AFTER the conditions are met to count, which is solely upon Israel (thy people) AND Jerusalem (thy Holy City) the addition of the elongation of time for Jerusalem was something Daniel did not have enough information to know about and why he was so upset and praying for 21 days for an answer. The 70 years was completed and Jerusalem was still in rubble. The moment Gabriel spoke, Daniel understood. Gabriel then proceeded to tell him even more things, like the exact timing (day count) of Messiahs arrival and what all he would accomplish (seven things) and that he would be cutoff but not for himself. There is no ‘gap’ of years, there is no stopped clock, these 70 weeks are interwoven as a heptadic lattice within the punitive measures of the restoration times for Israel and are now arriving into our time, since June 7th, 1967.
The Law had to be maintained perfectly for Messiah to insert himself into our dead world and restore it to life by the Jubilee of HIS sinless life. Jesus is the Word made flesh. Jesus himself IS the Jubilee and is THE fulfillment and resurrection from death by his own hand which is now allowing us to be his Kinsman and for him to be our Redeemer forever. We are with him and will be with him when the transgressors will look upon him whom they have pieced. We as followers of Messiah, Christ and the Jubilee Jesus declared on Yom Kippur in 28 AD when he read from Isaiah Chapter 61 is for those the father gave to him and are today clothed in White linen, his righteousness. The 49 years Gabriel broke out were not received by Israel during the time of their visitation.
April 13th 32 AD (17th of Nisan) Feast of First Fruits ———— 14, 000 days -——> August 12th 70 AD Temple Destroyed 9th of AV
“The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book. For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.” Jeremiah 30:1-3
Time of Jacobs trouble = the great tribulation upon unbelieving Israel. They will not see Jesus again until they say blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
“Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.” Jeremiah 30:7
This happens when? In the latter days. At the time of the end, when these prophecies would be unsealed for greater understanding and shared and where none of the wicked would understand. When they divide Jerusalem after its restoration since June 7th, 1967, there is no more time.
“The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it.” Jeremiah 30:24
“And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.” - Luke 24:44
“Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.” - Hebrews 10:7
I used this calculator I found online for the day -date counts above:
