Beloved, Greetings in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ! Who is the TRUE source for ALL Heavenly blessings here on earth and in Heaven above (Eph. 1:3)!
I would like to ask us all this very serious question in the light of the pre-Thanksgiving 2025 season here in America: Can we be truly thankful in our hearts as we celebrate this time of Thanksgiving in light of our EXPONENTIAL national implosion and deterioration? Are we thankful in God's rightness for our loved ones, a measure of health, and a sound mind? Are we as thankful for the earthly blessings and liberties that we still possess as Americans? Are we thankful for those who have shed their blood on our nation's behalf, who have preserved our freedoms and liberties up to now? Are we thankful for the vision and labor of our Founding Fathers, who steadfastly sought to provide their posterity with a nation and constitution that we may enjoy our inalienable rights as human beings? Are we thankful to those who labor for the Lord on our behalf, who challenge us and encourage us in the ETERNAL truths and promises of Almighty God? Bottom line, my dear friends, are we truly thankful for the littlest of blessings in the light of such evil, sobering days? Thanksgiving is one of the most powerful blessings from Almighty God, for it is by being thankful that we are fully grateful to the One where ALL ETERNAL provisions and blessings flow!
In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you! (1 Thess. 5:18).
The absolute key to a thankful heart in whatever time period or season one lives in is ONLY found in Jesus Christ and in His RIGHTEOUSNESS! In Jesus is found ALL forgiveness, pardon, hope, promises, RIGHTEOUSNESS, and ETERNAL LIFE for the child who has trusted in Him for ETERNAL SALVATION in RIGHTEOUSNESS! For us who are, Are we truly thankful for Almighty God our Heavenly Father for so loving us that He sent His only begotten Son on our behalf (John 3:16-17), that we may be redeemed, forgiven, received, adopted, and made RIGHTEOUS in the Person and work of Jesus Christ (Rom. 10:4, 1 Cor. 1:30)?
Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice!
Are we truly thankful in light of our day that we are still able to worship Almighty God in Spirit and TRUTH here in America and that we still have a measure of time left to get out His ETERNAL saving Gospel message to a lost, dying, and condemned world? Beloved, are we truly rejoicing that the Lord Jesus is coming again very soon and that this fallen world is NOT our ETERNAL home? Beloved, we have a glorious ETERNAL hope and future with our ETERNAL Savior and Lord in perfect RIGHTEOUSNESS in Almighty God's perfect ETERNAL day (1 Cor. 2:9, Rev. 22:5)! That truly is the fire that burns in our belly and the thanksgiving of heart that keeps us fresh and joyful as we walk this pilgrim journey (Phil. 4:4)! For indeed, this world is truly NOT our home, we are truly just passing through! See the ETERNAL in Christ Jesus, be His faithful ambassador and light in such days, and give thanks to the ETERNAL LORD of life in ALL THINGS (Col. 3:1-4, 1 Thess. 5:16-18)!
May this Thanksgiving be a great blessing to you all! We indeed have much to be thankful for (Phil. 4:4)!

One can -- and my bride and I are -- THANKFUL for so much, and have been in many places in our lives, as we worked outside the US for a portion of them, and remain THANKFUL here at home in our retirement in our United States of America. No nation throughout history has been either perfect nor perfected. And many have had their "stiff-necked people" calibrated across time. For you for your interesting, numerical entertainment:
To couch an essay in the words of an "unthankful America" posits that there is or can be a "thankful America." It seems a collectivist's mentality, in the political sense. I would rather spend for a flagon at the Green Dragon to hear the discussion of early Americans, were it possible. Thankful for liberty? In a heart beat. But that is something else. Disclaimer" we will be in church this All Saints afternoon giving thanks for those souls on whom we think. Thankful. It's something to be done for each of us. Individually.
