The false prophet who predicted that the Rapture would take place earlier this week is now claiming that his original dates were correct, and has doubled down with a convoluted new timeline.
Three months ago, Joshua Mhlakela—a “believer” from South Africa who claimed to have once been a pastor—came out of nowhere and began claiming that Jesus came to him in a dream in 2018 and told him: “On the 23rd and the 24th of September, 2025, I will come to take my church.”
His predictions picked up steam, with #RaptureTok trending on TikTok, and videos about it doing brisk business on YouTube—either supporting it, debunking it, or featuring folks claiming that they too had visions confirming it was going down.
While some folks were memeing on it, many people took him seriously, quitting their jobs and selling their cars and homes in anticipation.
Of course, nothing happened.
After the Rapture did not happen, Mhlakela went silent for a couple of days, then reemerged more confident and arrogant than ever, doubling down and saying he is “a billion percent sure that the rapture is going to happen on the 23rd and 24th of September 2025.”
Using some flawed math and the reasoning normally reserved for a paranoid schizophrenic who just mainlined 500grams of PCP and hasn’t slept in a week, he insists that because “we see dimly, as in a mirror,” there was some confusion because his initial prediction was based on the Gregorian Calendar. Instead, he suggests that his date should be based on the Julian calendar, which is 13 days ahead, so that Sept. 23–24 will actually occur in early October.
It’s super dumb, but what can you expect?
Notably, in a a recent video, apologist Mike Winger rightly excoriates Joshua Mhlakela and exposes him as a false teacher, liar, and budding cult leader that he is.

Maybe he was right and just got left behind because he’s a scammer. He might want to reflect on his life choices.
LOL! Only slightly more sure that those that say, "Something bad just happened in the Middle East!", or "The EU is looking at a new type of ID!!". This could be it, this could definitely be it!!"
Early October hosts the Feast of Tabernacles.
Interestingly, that’s a Feast His Disciples went to without Christ once, but Christ showed up in the middle of the Feast.
And I don’t think they used the Julian calendar to organize any of the Feasts when they had the Lights in the firmament and the crop status in Israel back then to tell time.
Christ showing up in the middle of a Feast hardly anybody in Christianity observes today would be so juicy of an ending for these about 2,000 years.
It’s 9 30 2025
This isn’t breaking news
It’s the 2nd rapture bash thread today.
Why the mods allow this continued obsessive abuse trolling against a large segment of freepers is beyond me.
Damn trolls
Spit
You guys give Catholics a bad name.
When I first started hearing it around year 1998 or 1999 I always asked if it was based on 2,000 years after He was born. The answer was always "yes". So I pointed out that He's running late, since He was probably born around 4-6 BC, not AD 1. LOL
It’s a GREAT disappointment!!!

(abuse trolling)
I have a persistent troll myself. Despite repeatedly being asked to cease and desist, the Dark Principalities and Powers stir up demons in his soul (apparently).
Satan ALWAYS has a Godless Goat 🐐🐐🐐
ready to discourage you. It’s what he does.
That being said, there WILL BE Mockers and Scoffers in the Last Days.
Scripture has ALREADY said so.
2nd Peter 3:2-6
King James Version
2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the Last Days Scoffers, WALKING AFTER THEIR OWN LUSTS,
4 And saying, WHERE is the promise of His Coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the Beginning of the Creation.
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the Word of God the heavens were of old, and the Earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

That being said, people SHOULD NOT predict the day of the Rapture. Harold Camping comes to mind.
Prophets and economists: only the stupid believe them, as is their freedom.
It seems to be a follow up where it’s now using the Julian calendar instead of the Antichrist Pope calendar that messed up their prophecy.
There’s actually a little humor in this, if nothing but the prophet’s reliance on the Beast and Antichrist’s calendar.
He’s an idiot and a liar.
Jesus himself said NO ONE knows the date of His return - only the Father knows.
People should stop listening to these false prophets and simply read the Bible.
And, that damnable fool needs to understand that there is a millstone and rope with his name on it. He must be saved and repent, or Hell will be his eternal reward.
False prophet. Now he’s just another bad comedian.
My prediction: the rapture happens on the day the rapture happens.
JC is on the Julian calendar? Good to know.
“”It’s super dumb, but what can you expect?””
I expect him to double down on the dumb and claim that Jesus actually meant the Aztec Calendar... and the reason the rapture doesn’t happen again is there were not enough “sacrifices” made.
Questions for Dispensationalists or other people who believe in The Rapture:
I’m mildly curious:
1) Did you, personally, believe the rapture was going to happen on 22SEP2025? If so, were you disappointed that it did not happen?
2) Do you believe that you, or any other human person, is able to predict when the rapture will occur?
3) How many times in the past has the rapture been predicted? Were any of those predictions correct?
4) What does the Bible say about false prophets?
😃😄🤣🤣🤣😜
Luke 21:34-36
Matthew 24:42-44
And Edgar C. Whisenant. His 1988 Rapture date came and went, at which time he "recalculated" and, lo and behold! It was 1989 after all. When 1989 came and went with no Rapture, he updated his "timeline" again to predict a 1993 Rapture (which, of course, didn't happen either).
I guess Whisenant (and the others) didn't get the memo about "No man knows the day nor the hour".
