A lot of people don't really know what Jesus has done for them. In Isa. 53:4,5 it says, 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs(sicknesses and diseases), and carried our sorrows(pains and afflictions): yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. God has taken your sicknesses and diseases and laid them on Jesus. When Jesus was being scourged he was atoning for our sicknesses and diseases. God was placing our sicknesses and diseases on Jesus. That word borne means to lift and carry away, so God lifted them off of you and placed them on Jesus. And since Jesus was bearing ours he made it illegal for it to be on you. Because, even though we did the sin he took our punishment and just like in our society when the penalty for a crime is satisfied it is illegal for anyone else to be punished for it, it's called double jeopardy. Once the penalty for a crime has been satisfied even if they find the guilty party he can't be punished for it because the punishment has been satisfied. Jesus bore our sicknesses and diseases just like 1 Peter 2:24 says that he bore our sins. That's what has been done because it's what God has declared. Just like in Leviticus 16 God declared the scapegoat that when the High Priest laid his hands on the head of the goat and confessed the sins of the people then the sins of the people would be put on the head of the scapegoat. It's what God declared and that made it so.
Leviticus 16:21 And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness. Likewise, God has declared what Jesus would bare for us and that's how He see's it. That's why it says, in 1 Peter 2:24- Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. Sickness was never God's will for mankind. But, once Adam sinned that opened the door to sickness, but what Adam opened the door to and brought on humanity Jesus came to undo. 1 John 3:8 AMPC [But] he who commits sin [who practices evildoing] is of the devil [takes his character from the evil one], for the devil has sinned (violated the divine law) from the beginning. The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil [has done]. Jesus came to take off humanity what Adam loosed on humanity by his sin. And one of the main things is sickness that Adam opened the door to. Notice, Psalm 103:1-3 1 Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul; and all that is [deepest] within me, bless His holy name! 2 Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits—3 Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals [each one of] all your diseases. Notice, God calls healing a benefit of his and yet some people think it's wrong for a person to go to God for healing, well if not to God who else.
Notice, in Luke 13 when Jesus healed a woman on the sabbath day and the religious leader came against him and Jesus answered him in verse 16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day? So, according to Jesus it's God's will that every seed of Abraham be healed, because God is no respecter of persons (Acts 10:34). So, that doesn't just apply to her that's for every seed of Abraham and Galatians 3:29 says, And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. So, it should never be a question of it being God's will because God wants everyone blessed not just a select few. Look at what God told Abraham in Genesis 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. Notice, all families of the earth, does that sound like God is excluding anyone. But, the way you get the benefits of what Jesus has done for you is to receive him, that's why he told Nicodemus, You must be born again. The Blessing is in Christ Jesus so you have to receive him as your Lord and Savior. And once you receive him then what he did for you is credited to you. Jesus came and was willing to be sacrificed to bring man back to God, don't let what Jesus has done for you be a waste.
It is not God's will that any should perish. And I wouldn't want to end this article without giving someone the opportunity to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It's very easy just pray: Dear God- I know I have sinned and I now turn from them and I invite Jesus to come into my heart (Revelation 3:20). He died for my sins and you have raised him from the dead and I now confess Jesus is my Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9,10). I thank you for saving me, Amen
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name (John 1:12). 1 Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. Romans 5:8-10 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. [9] Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. [10] For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 2 Peter 3:9 King James Version 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Well said and thanks for posting this.

I had read what a pathologist said Jesus went through, and it’s sickening. I could barely finish reading it. I didn’t watch The Passion of the Christ because I didn’t want to see it acted out.
