🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem 🇮🇱(8/28/25)[Prayer]

Water, Rivers, and Streams in the Bible
Joel 31:18

“In that day the mountains will drip new wine,
    and the hills will flow with milk;
all the ravines of Judah will run with water.
A fountain will flow out of the Lord’s house
and will water the valley of acacias.[a]

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Dear Heavenly Father,
How Precious,
How Wonderful,
How Lovely To Be in Your Presence!
Your Name is So Hallowed,
So Holy and Pure,
Your Lovingkindness is From Everlasting to Everlasting.
Your Love is Unsearchable,
Your Mercy Unexplainable,
Your Peace Passes Understanding!

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.

”The Greatest Of these Is Love.”

If you would like to be on or off the Daily Ping List, please let me know.

Amen !!! <><

Psalm 53

To the leader: according to Mahalath. A Maskil of David.

1 Fools say in their hearts, ‘There is no God.’
They are corrupt, they commit abominable acts;
there is no one who does good.

2 God looks down from heaven on humankind
to see if there are any who are wise,
who seek after God.

3 They have all fallen away, they are all alike perverse;
there is no one who does good,
no, not one.

4 Have they no knowledge, those evildoers,
who eat up my people as they eat bread,
and do not call upon God?

5 There they shall be in great terror,
in terror such as has not been.
For God will scatter the bones of the ungodly;*
they will be put to shame,* for God has rejected them.

6 O that deliverance for Israel would come from Zion!
When God restores the fortunes of his people,
Jacob will rejoice; Israel will be glad.

We have some new people reading, so this would be a good time to review my personal Bible Reading Plan. It works for me, and might explain the strange collection of Scriptures in this Thread, which don't seem to be in any discernible order. Here Goes:

I have Eight Bookmarks, Four in the Old Testament, and Four in the New. They are arranged like this:

Old Testament

1. Torah. (Genesis to Deuteronomy)
2. History (Joshua to Esther)
3. Poetry (Job to Song of Solomon)
4. Prophets (Isaiah to Malachi)

New Testament

1. The Gospels (Matthew to John)
2. The Book of Acts (only 28 Chapters)
3. The Epistles (Romans to Jude)
4. The Book of Revelation (only 22 Chapters)

Every Morning, with my Morning Coffee, I read one Chapter (or smaller sub-heading) from each Bookmark. Then I move on to the next. I keep a pen and paper handy to write down any verse about "Water, Rivers, and Streams", our current topic.

That's why you might see a quote from Exodus one day, and from the Prophet Joel the next, and then a quote from Revelation after that. It may seem like Madness, but there IS a Method in it.

Sometimes, due to the fact that some sections are longer than others, I end up with a strange juxtaposition of Readings that cause me to become a bit disjointed. Last week, for example, my OT Bookmarks landed in Leviticus, Judges, Ecclesiastes, and Amos. This was tough going for a while, as Leviticus is legalistic, Judges is violent, Ecclesiastes is dreary, and Amos is scary. Great stuff to go with my Morning Coffee!

But, even in the SADDEST Book of the Bible (Lamentations) there are verses that pop out of the page, like the one we see today from The Prophet Joel.

I suppose that if everything in the Bible was "happy happy la-di-da" all the time, it would have no value. We all go through times of trouble, grieving, frustration, deprivation, and sadness. It's during those times that we can be "Surprised By Joy" (Hat Tip to C.S. Lewis).

Come and Pray Prayers For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

”Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.” (Hosea 6:3 NIV)

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
