Chuck Girard, the founding member of ‘Love Song’- one of the first Christian rock bands and one of the most prominent ‘Jesus Music’ artists- passed away on Monday at the age of 81. His wife shared on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/chuckgirardmusic/):
This is Chuck’s wife, Karen. It is with great sorrow, yet also great joy, to let you know that Chuck has moved to Heaven and will be eternally with Jesus! He left this earth at rest and in total peace, surrounded by family. We praise the Lord for His great mercy and for His gift of Chuck’s music, message, and heart. “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” We’re grateful for Jesus who paid the price for all who receive Him. Thank you to all of you who have prayed for Chuck and held us in prayer.
Girard was diagnosed with metastasized stage 4 lung Cancer in 2024.

Girard is survived by his wife, Karen; four daughters, Kristin, Alisa (Childers), Cherie, and Nikki; four granddaughters, Lauren, Kailyn, Dyllan, and Charli; one grandson, Ayden; and one great-granddaughter, nine-month-old Brynn. He was preceded in death by his grandson Matt, who passed away in 2019.

Either of the above 3 could get you in trouble.
That is new info to me. Alissa is a great podcaster! Worth listening to.
Every once in a while I pull up the Love Song first album on Apple Music and listen to it. Hard to believe it was like 45 years ago.
I remember them playing at CC Costa Mesa before they put up the tent.
I saw him at a Cleansing Streams seminar. He was a great and energetic musician.
