A Louisiana pastor, Luke Ash, was fired from his job at the East Baton Rouge Parish Library for refusing to use a colleague’s preferred pronouns.
Ash, the bivocational lead pastor of Stevendale Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, told Tony Perkins he was dismissed for misgendering a coworker at the libray, where he worked as a technician for around six months
Last Monday, July the 7th, I was in a conversation with a coworker about someone that she was training and I did not use preferred pronouns in that conversation. That coworker corrected me, said that the person that she was training preferred to be called “he” and I refused to use those preferred pronouns.
The next day I was reprimanded by my supervisor and the head of reference. Thursday morning I was fired”
He was offered the chance to keep his job if he used the requested pronouns but refused, stating, “I’m not going to lie. I cannot do it. I will not do it.”
It is unclear whether or not Ash will pursue any litigation.

For every penny the parish library has.
If I attended there I would immediately start my search for a new home church....this is absolutely ridiculous.

Back when the US was a free country, in the 1960s and 1970s, people owned real estate or could easily pay for it. And they did not have property taxes out of reach like they do now
They could say they did not want to comply with government and corporate demands
But people have forgotten that they run the country and that the government works for them
They allowed this to happen
They think government working for them means they should mob up against Trump to tell him what they want like he’s a fun rich uncle
He is not btw. He is a disciplined brilliant man who has a plan.
It did not occur at his church. “Bivocational” means he is not a full time pastor-he has another job (this is very common at smaller churches). This incident occurred at his other job-at the local library, NOT his church.

Both houses of the Louisiana legislature have over 2:1 Republican majorities. I don't know how many of them are RINOs. The Legislature has the power to stop any misgendering nonsense by a public entity.
This is definitely a first amendment case.

First amendment cases ONLY apply to federal gov’t violations.
Library staff has been replaced with community activists on purpose. The libraries have been purpose hijacked, turned into leftist command and control centers. Everything from contact tracing, absentee ballot centers, public assistance “one stop assistance”, internet access as unknown users, community health centers, housing assistance, and at the end of the list.....books and reading. The staff is typically union organized with AFSME, or SEIU. They are key in the “rent-a-protest” phenomenon.
