“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” - 1 John 4:16
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.” - Galatians 5:22-23
I think those three are good points.
Hearing voices is never a good sign.
He will contradict all Scripture.
Recall his statement to Eve:
1Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Indeed, has God said, ‘You shall not eat from any tree of the garden’?” 2The woman said to the serpent, “From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat; 3but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.’”
4The serpent said to the woman, “You surely will not die!

Hence why when evaluating the messages of the apparitions who promote the scapular as a means to avoid the hell-fire vs faith in Christ, and only Christ for your salvation, it is essential to compare their message to Scripture.
And when one does this one will quickly find the messages of the apparitions contradict Scripture and as such, the apparitions and their scapulars and miraculous medals are to be denied.
Odds are if you hear voices you may want to seek professional help.

Food for thought.
Most times in the Bible when an angel appears the angel says something such as “do not be afraid” or “fear not.”
How do we know when to listen and believe and when it is a fallen angel, a demonic force?
A few times a real angel said it:
Luke 1:30:
.
The angel Gabriel tells Mary, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God.”
Luke 2:10:
.
An angel tells shepherds, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all people.”
Luke 1:13:
.
An angel tells Zechariah, “Do not be afraid, Zechariah, for your prayer has been heard.”
Matthew 1:20:
.
An angel tells Joseph, “Do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife.
“Odds are if you hear voices you may want to seek professional help.”
Yep.
Auditory hallucinations 101.
The subtle serpent was the first preacher of God’s word.
The smooth, devious wordsmithing is a tell.
Meanwhile, like the stereotypical American the world loves to hate, there’s nothing subtle about a bolt of lightning.
Re: God’s voice. Some Scriptural examples remind us not to put His voice, nor the vessels He uses…in a box.
”When the Lord first spoke through Hosea, the Lord said to Hosea, ‘Go, take for yourself a wife of whoredom and have children of whoredom, for the land commits great whoredom by forsaking the Lord.’ So he went and took Gomer daughter of Diblaim, and she conceived and bore him a son.” - Hosea 1:2
“Then the Lord opened the donkey’s mouth, and it said to Balaam, “What have I done to you to make you beat me these three times?” - Numbers 22:8
And although God is never directly quoted in the book of Esther…She was essentially commanded to join a Persian king’s harem. 😳
“It Creates Anxiety Rather Than Peace”
I’ve always said that. Chaos. Just look at liberals.
Very true! Yet, God does like to shake things up and surprise people. The people in tune with Him will be at peace. The forces of darkness? Not so much. Especially for fear of being exposed! See: Trump Derangement Syndrome. God has been using Trump mightily.
God’s voice is a mixture of Charlton Heston and James Earl Jones, but even more impressive and basso profundo.
Satan sounds like Jamie Rankin. There it is.
Thanks. Morgan Freeman has a great voice, but I prefer your casting choices for the roles at hand.
It is like standing in the clear light that shows every flaw and weakness.
If it doesn't make you a little weak in the knees there is something wrong somewhere.
‘ Holiness scares us when we know we are unworthy.’
People who hear voices they think are from god should scare everyone.
Did he scare you?
‘ Didn’t you say that your dad was a pastor? ‘
Yes.
‘At some point he heard God’s voice.
Did he scare you?’
At times, sure. Then I grew up.
Let’s not forget, all of Israel had just been delivered from bondage by the killing of a lamb and taking its blood and placing it on their doors.
And a month into their journey, was fed manna miraculously.
And a month after that, they arrive at Sinai and literally hear His voice and His Commands thundered from the Mount.
They all agree to follow Him and obey.
And Moses goes up the mount for 40 days.
And Moses comes back down the Mount with so much anger at Israel that he breaks the 2 tablets and then has about 3,000 killed the same day.
They didn’t last 40 days after seeing and hearing.
Thankfully in the New Covenant, about 3,000 were saved that day when the Holy Spirit came down and fell on the believers.
Having eyes to see and ears to ear can apply to the written word in the New Covenant but you’re right, us humans might find it a little unsettling to all of a sudden hear a voice or voices or like Paul, get an encounter on a road, when we’re just going through life..
