God sending His Son Jesus to be that final, ultimate sacrifice for sin, the fruit of which are disciples, believers in Christ in which the pleasure of the LORD shall indeed prosper!

Jesus was on earth to do the will of His Father God, which was to give his life as a ransom for many, us! So that none should perish. In these Scriptures can we think that He was asking God to remove the burden from Him and to go about making another way to reestablish that wonderful relationship between God and mankind, and open the door to Salvation? Was there a battle going on inside him, anticipating the unbelievable horror and pain and loneliness as Father God turned His face away?

Thy will be done, Jesus answered the call each and every time. So many during our lifetimes have given their lives so that others would know Christ, and so many more will after we as believers either leave this earth in His Return or beforehand in passing. Because Jesus did what The Father asked of him, it pleased God and He never, ever left His Son alone. God will never leave any of us alone, even when we make mistakes--though Christ was without sin. The Father will always have his arms open wide to receive a wayward child back home. Always.

The watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem kept those within apprised of the situation without, scanning the surrounding area for any hint of trouble. If they saw a threat, they roused everyone into action.

No matter what happens to us here on this earth, as believers serving Christ and preaching the Gospel, what a wonderful future to look forward to, to being in the Eternal Presence of Almighty God, and to experience the Peace, finally, on earth!

Forgiving one another, confessing our sins to one another, and asking The Lord Jesus to forgive us and cleanse us, helps us to stay sharp and focused and not be caught unawares of the enemy's wiles. God hears our prayers, which strike fear into the heart of the enemy (Satan). The last thing that old snake wants believers to do is to keep that constant line open between themselves and God, because there's no way demonic forces can sneak in and hide where the Holy Spirit's Presence is manifest!
