The Roman Church now presents a fair front to the world, covering with apologies her record of horrible cruelties. She has clothed herself in Christlike garments; but she is unchanged. Every principle of the papacy that existed in past ages exists today. The doctrines devised in the darkest ages are still held. Let none deceive themselves. The papacy that Protestants are now so ready to honor is the same that ruled the world in the days of the Reformation, when men of God stood up, at the peril of their lives, to expose her iniquity. She possesses the same pride and arrogant assumption that lorded it over kings and princes, and claimed the prerogatives of God. Her spirit is no less cruel and despotic now than when she crushed out human liberty and slew the saints of the Most High.

The papacy is just what prophecy declared that she would be, the apostasy of the latter times. 2 Thessalonians 2:3, 4. It is a part of her policy to assume the character which will best accomplish her purpose; but beneath the variable appearance of the chameleon she conceals the invariable venom of the serpent. “Faith ought not to be kept with heretics, nor persons suspected of heresy” (Lenfant, volume 1, page 516), she declares. Shall this power, whose record for a thousand years is written in the blood of the saints, be now acknowledged as a part of the church of Christ?

It is not without reason that the claim has been put forth in Protestant countries that Catholicism differs less widely from Protestantism than in former times. There has been a change; but the change is not in the papacy. Catholicism indeed resembles much of the Protestantism that now exists, because Protestantism has so greatly degenerated since the days of the Reformers.

As the Protestant churches have been seeking the favor of the world, false charity has blinded their eyes. They do not see but that it is right to believe good of all evil, and as the inevitable result they will finally believe evil of all good. Instead of standing in defense of the faith once delivered to the saints, they are now, as it were, apologizing to Rome for their uncharitable opinion of her, begging pardon for their bigotry.

A large class, even of those who look upon Romanism with no favor, apprehend little danger from her power and influence. Many urge that the intellectual and moral darkness prevailing during the Middle Ages favored the spread of her dogmas, superstitions, and oppression, and that the greater intelligence of modern times, the general diffusion of knowledge, and the increasing liberality in matters of religion forbid a revival of intolerance and tyranny. The very thought that such a state of things will exist in this enlightened age is ridiculed. It is true that great light, intellectual, moral, and religious, is shining upon this generation. In the open pages of God's Holy Word, light from heaven has been shed upon the world. But it should be remembered that the greater the light bestowed, the greater the darkness of those who pervert and reject it.

What a powerful and compelling statement to describe the counterfeit end time religious superpower from this drunk named Ellen White:

Quoting Ellen White above:

In a way, her statement above echoes what I have observerd here several times. That Churches of today, evangelicals and Protestants no longer even keep Sunday as a holy day of rest.

There was a time when Sunday was kept as a holy Sabbath and I believe God honored that. They were going by the light they had and upheld all 10 commandments.....not just 9. It is hard to find a Christian today who still sets aside Sunday as a holy day of rest. I admire any Christian who does and I admire the few I have seen here on FR.

But for the most part, in today’s Christian world, Sunday has become the “Lord’s Hour” replacing the Lord’s Day. No longer sacred, no longer holy, no longer set aside for holy use. If church is attended, it’s an hour then off to the races. Shopping, working, ball games, Lakers, Macy’s , party on rock on, concerts.....

That was unheard in the days of old, when Protestants upheld the fourth commandment.

And of course the reason is this “new covenant” theology of dispensationlism that originated with such things as the Darby Scofield Bible....Hal Lindey’s the late planet earth, the secret rapture nonsense, Anti Christ coming after the tribulation, Israel restored, the literal nation of Israel, and 2nd chance for people......all that nonsense.

All based on the prophetic basis of “Futurism” which has Jesuit roots. Very deceptive. And they invented “Futurism” to take the eyes off of Rome as the great counterfeit.

That is why Evangelicals of today cannot identify who the great man of sin is in scripture. They have no idea who the first beast of Revelation 13 is.

But in Revelation, we read about a people who “keep the commandments of God”..and who “have the spirit of prophecy” much of which isn’t even new.

Adventists just believe what so many Protestants of old believed about this counterfeit. But God is continuing to restore truths for their time and the Bible Sabbath is being restored around the world and the counterfeit Hates the Bible Sabbath because it utterly destroys her claim to be God’s church and her power and influence.

This is why it causes so much emotion among the radical members and advocates of this church.

I counted 6 posts yesterday from members of this church. But there is going to hell rained down on me for this one post. The only one I will post today.

And the hell will come from both sides.

Well, her drivel about prophecy contines with this from her book “The Great Controversy” which has been read by millions and changed people’s lives in how they view prophecy, end times, and where this is all going and it’s all Bible supported when teste to the Bible.

God designed that man’s intellectual powers should be held as a gift from his Maker and should be employed in the service of truth and righteousness; but when pride and ambition are cherished, and men exalt their own theories above the word of God, then intelligence can accomplish greater harm than ignorance. Thus the false science of the present day, which undermines faith in the Bible, will prove as successful in preparing the way for the acceptance of the papacy, with its pleasing forms, as did the withholding of knowledge in opening the way for its aggrandizement in the Dark Ages.

This simply has to be the most compelling powerful succinct description of how the Papacy works and attracts. She is prepared to save people “by their merits”.....that is righteousness by works .....and save people “in their sins”......that is people who want an easy religion, no Bible study, no renounce of sins, just go to confession and start all over on Monday.

And she is embracing these 2 classes which is almost the entire world........just a statement with staggering compelling almost shocking truth.

Because our message is based on prophecy. The end time prophecies of Daniel and Revelation. Revelation 1 says....Blessed are those who read and HEAR the words of this prophecy....for the end is near.

Most Seventh day Adventist church presentations are prophecy based. It’s what we do....tell the world the TRUTH on the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation.

Let me give you an example. In Daniel chapter 2, he is given a vision of a metal man statue. We see gold, Silver, bronz and iron. Then at the very bottom of this statue, we see iron mixed with Clay.

Do you even have the slighgest inking what this represents? Who that Iron is down there at the end of the world? Still hanging around but mixed with clay?

Your statement is actually a prophetic statement. When Jesus posed a threat to the Religious leaders, because he told the truth, they finally determined it was better one man die than a whole nation perish.

See, he stirred up trouble.

Ellen White writes that there will come a day when those who keep the Bible Sabbath....God’s law, in a great time of global trouble and crisis.......who refuse the mark of the beast.....will be acccused of causing these judgements that are coming down on the earth.

They will be accused of “stirring up trouble” and the vast multitudes, will be enraged with them. Blaming them.....in Revelation is says those who refuse the mark of the beast will even be killed.

So either those who honor God’s law in the end, including the Bible sabbath in the heart of his law is the counterfeit....a very small minority who desire no persecution on anyone.........or a vast monolithic world spiritual superpower that the world marvels after.....arraingned in Gold and Scarlet that all churches unite with on common doctrine.....is this persecuting end time false power........and who hates the Bible Sabbath because it exposes her....

And who like Hitler.....accused a people of “stirring up trouble” and issued a decree to wipe them off the face of the earth.

Nah....she wrote that God ALONE is infallible. If you read the Book “The Great Controversy”...i bet you’ll be in church next Sabbath. I can’t count how many Christians became Sabbath keeping Christians after reading that book.

So you don’t have any idea what the prophetic dream given to Daniel in Daniel chapter 2 is about and the nations he was shown in that dream and especially the IRON that is still hangin around at the end of time?
