Abba, Father,
How Wonderful You Are!
And LORD, Our God,

I may have bitten off more than I can chew with this Painting Project. I've already completed the Bathroom, the Mud Room, the Back Hall, The Long Hallway between the Bedrooms, the Master Bedroom, The Living/Dining Room, and a little bit of the Second Bedroom, which serves as an Art Studio and Computer Room. All that remains is the KITCHEN...but I've run out of steam. I may have to hire somebody to do the Kitchen...maybe I can gut it and start over. (YIKES!)😱 And now, an even more Monumental Task is ahead of me.

Today we embark upon a New Series: "Water, Rivers, and Streams in the Bible". The Opening Verse and the Closing Verse are the Same as they were for Our Series on The Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:2 and Revelation 22:17) Who knows how many months there will be between those two verses. This may be much more daunting than Painting the Entire Interior of a Double-Wide with a Two-Inch Art Brush. But I promise you I won't farm this out when we get to "Painting the Kitchen". ☕️

I've switched to the NIV for this because there will be a lot of Narrative ahead, about Water, Rivers, Wells, Streams, and so on. The NIV is great for Story-Telling, while the King James is the BEST for Poetry. That's why I used the KJV for the whole "Names of God" Series.

We already talked about how the Very First Verse in the Torah is arranged like a Seven-Branched Candelabra, the Symbol of Israel. We saw how the "Aleph-Tav" (The Beginning and the End) stands tall in the middle of the verse, like the Center Candle on the Menorah. We also read the Name Elohim, which hints at the Triune Nature of The Godhead. In Verse Two we are introduced to The Holy Spirit. He is pictured as "hovering", (Brooding, swooping, soaring) over the WATERS. These "waters" are what make Planet Earth a place that will sustain Life, but these waters were lifeless. The Bible describes them as "Void".

A Standard Elementary School Science Project is to set up several seedlings and watch them grow. On one plant is poured tap water. On another, distilled water. On a third, water that has been treated in the Microwave Oven. The distilled water and microwaved water are less nutritious than the water that came right out of the faucet. It would seem that the water that was "Void" was not ready for Life just yet.

According to Genesis, the Earth was created by God, but it was all just "Void" Water in the Dark. It would take a lot more than that to make Planet Earth capable of sustaining Life...so The Lord Pronounced His Next Great Creation:

"LET THERE BE LIGHT."
