The Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP) is renewing its novena and consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in the midst of the Vatican's Apostolic Visitation.
In a January 18 press release, the Superior General Father John Berg called on Catholics to pray with them, beginning on February 2 through the eve of the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes.
Three years ago, the FSSP invoked the Immaculate Heart of Mary "in a moment of deep uncertainty" because of Francis' 'Traditionis Custodes' and is now repeating that prayer during the visitation.
Copies of the novena prayers are included below.
Ping
Another Bergoglio henchman out to stick it to one more Traditional Catholic organization.
Great. Pray. See what God does. Maybe we are just soddom and gamorah. Maybe this is another Babylonian exile of sorts. Any way it is, God hears and God wins in the end. Do what God calls of you.
What??? Who? Who is the "henchman"? What is the purpose of this Novena?? Can you give us some history as to what this is about? Thank you.
Does the Pope know what a novena is?
The FFSP was started in the 1980’s and is an offshoot of the SSPX, which got in trouble in the late 1980’s with several priests being excommunicated. The FFSP recently housed a criminal child pornographer afficiando. The investigation is not about that priest. The FFSP is in good standing and is allowed to say the Traditional Latin Mass. This allowance was affirmed less than a year ago.
The implication of the investigation, and the saying of the novena, is believed so that FFSP will be allowed to continue saying the Traditional Latin Mass.
We know how this will turn out.
A look at beliefs held by Traditional Latin Mass attendees:
Acts 1:13-14:
13 When they entered the city they went to the upper room where they were staying, Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James.
14 All these devoted themselves with one accord to prayer, together with some women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.
Thank you for mentioning me. I do not hate TLM. Sorry to disappoint you. One of the most interesting Mass I attended in the last year was in Dutch. The Priest did revert to English during collection! The Organ music was magnificent.
In other words, it wasn't a Traditional Latin Mass. As if you would even recognize one.
I didn’t say it was a TLM. Yes, I have been to TLM.
I don’t believe you.
Neither do I believe you are a practicing Catholic.
Hmmmmmmmm, I was at Mass Thursday and Friday evening - i.e., the last 48 hours. I was invited to a private Mass with Cardinal Dolan two weeks ago (an annual event) but couldn’t attend due to 2 family illnesses - one ongoing for 9 months, the other for 3 months. The Cardinal was leaving for the inauguration the next day. I particularly like Cardinal Dolan as he gave my Father his last communion 4 years ago. I am invited to the retirement dinner for a well-loved Passionate priest, which is scheduled for next week. I will attend Sunday Mass this week. I help an elderly priest who has mobility issues - Thursday and maybe this Sunday. I frequently volunteer, especially with the sick and suffering. My parish priest knows me by by first name. A local monastery knows me by first name. I have read a great deal of Pope Benedict’s writings, most of the Catholic classic writings and traditional theology, Cardinal Pell’s 3 prison journals and have a degree from a leading Catholic institution. You already know I was at a Marian Shrine a few weeks ago. Can you state forth facts outside of your flaming anti-Catholicism and cartoons/articles?

Between your associations with Jolly Timmy Dolan and little Jimmy Martin, S.J., one could question your morals.
Between your associations with excommunicated bishops and priests, and little, disgraced, removed Strickland, one could question your sanity and/or state of your soul.
And you didn’t answer the question posited - ImagineThat!
Flame away.
Like I’ve said before.
I don’t believe anything you say.
Ignorance must be bliss. I will pray to St. Bakhita for your conversion.
“Be good. Love the Lord. Pray for the unfortunate ones who do not know him. Know that it is a great grace to know God!”
– St. Josephine Bakhita
