The returning observer, [released hostage] Agam Berger, and her parents became very famous for the Kiddush HaShem [Lev. 22:32] of that they performed for the sake of the Sabbath | Today (Friday). Agam's parents gave a short statement at Beilinson Hospital where their family is staying. At the end of the statement, Rabbi blew the shofar, and then the parents and those present sang "Shalom Aleichem, O angels of service," praying that the angels will protect our brothers who are still languishing in Hamas captivity (people)| Kikar haShabbat Square |1.31.25
Meirav and Shlomi, the parents of Agam Berger, issued a brief statement today (Friday) at Beilinson Hospital where their daughter is staying. The mother said: " [Shma Yisrael] Hear Israel, God our God is one God - Agam has returned home." "On this moving day, I want to say one thing - thank you, thank you to the Creator of the world." Thank you to all Diaspora Jewry that stood by us throughout this period." "Thank you to everyone who was by our side and helped us bring our Agam home." The mother thanked "our dedicated IDF soldiers who helped us bring Agam home." And also "the decision makers who went above and beyond to make the difficult decisions to help bring Agam home." Thank you to Chabad, the Kissufim organization, the Ayelet Hashachar organization, and our community in Holon. And she added with excitement: "We could not have gotten through these 482 days without your help."
The mother turned to her immediate family and thanked them: "Thank you to my husband and family, we embarked on an unexpected journey." To her returning daughter, Agam, she said: "Agam, you are our superhero, with God's help, take on the whole world, who will say no to you?"
The mother also thanked President Trump, concluding by saying, "We have a special strength, we are with 'desire that life' [Ps.34:13] with a dedication to bringing everyone home." The father, Shlomi, also thanked President Trump for the great efforts in returning his daughter Agam to Israel.
The mother finished the statement and said: "How manifold are Thy works, O LORD!' [Ps.104:24], 'O give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good for his mercy endures forever' [Ps.136:1]. Am Yisrael Chai [The Jewish people live]."
Thanking Trump too.
glorious - i read she kept Shabbat and observed holy days in captivity. i am guessing that gave her a bit of sanity, order and lots of strength. amazing.
Absolutely! Glory to God!
Yes. She found a prayer book there...
See extraordinary story:
Female captive found Siddur in Hamas captivity, fasted on Tisha B’Av.
Speaking to Israel Hayom after leaving the hospital, wife of MK disclosed that Agam Berger, released Thursday during the Hamas-Israel hostage deal’s third swap, “discovered a prayer book in Gaza that became her spiritual anchor throughout her captivity. Agam believes the prayer book was inadvertently left behind by soldiers who had previously been in the area.”

God works in mysterious ways,indeed.
Charlie Kirk has become a Seventh day Sabbath keeper. I think Christians are discovering the Seventh day is the Only day God made holy. He did it in Genesis, long before any Jew and Jesus said he did it “for man.”
Charlie Kirk starts off by saying it’s Jewish but then admits..there is debate about this since it “predates the law”. What he means is it predates the Jews. Adam and Eve undoubtedly kept the Seventh day Sabbath. God doesnt’ make something for man and hold it to himself for a few thousand years.
The first couple probably loved a day off to remember and commune with their creator who had given them paradise.
