Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Lord and Heavenly Father
You Are Our Faithful God.
And even when we are perfidious,
Or inconstant in our devotion,
You Are Faithful
From Generation to Generation.
And You Promise Us You will Not Depart from Your People
Your Faithfulness is not dependent upon our behavior or intentions.
You Alone are the One True God Over All!
And You Alone Are Faithful Forever.

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,

It was a balmy 41 degrees yesterday, so when the Winter Front arrived, it rained all night. I smiled with satisfaction as I looked out the kitchen window and saw a smooth black pavement, devoid of snow and road salt, and perfect for my morning walk with Tippy. I went to pour coffee, and there was none in the pot except yesterday's dregs. Grrrrr...I had forgotten to set up a new pot! I carefully cooled down the hot empty pot so that the glass wouldn't break, and started a new pot. No way was I going to take my walk without my coffee! Tippy was getting anxious.

After pouring myself a nice travel mug of black coffee, I suited up and ventured out. As soon as my feet hit the street, I realized that the reason the tarmac looked so smooth and shiny was because it was a solid sheet of "Black Ice". This is a phenomenon where the ice is so thin and flat on the surface of the road that it is nearly invisible. I wanted to go right back into the house, but Tippy NEEDS her morning walk!

She kept pulling on the leash as I tottered like an old lady on the treacherous surface. I kept my eyes on the pavement as I inched along, not knowing where the ice ended and dry pavement began.

Suddenly, the road was illuminated in brilliant color, as the Sunrise was reflecting from the mirror-like surface of the Black Ice. The patches of Ice became brilliant reds, pinks, and purples. I dared not lift my eyes to the sky, but stepped between the rainbow patches until Tippy took care of business and I was safely home.

As I closed the door and took off my jacket I knew what I was going to write about today.

The World can look like everything is in place, and there is no danger. Yet, when your feet hit the ground, you can suddenly realize that every step can be a treacherous mistake that could lead to a fall.

Like Black Ice, everything looks normal until you are right in the middle of it.

Jesus said He would send The Comforter to "testify of Me". We also saw that Jesus is called "The Sunrise" in Luke 1:78. (The KJV uses the word "Dayspring", meaning "Sunrise", in Zachariah's Prayer.)

The Sun is up now, and the Salt Truck has come through, so the brilliant display on the street is gone. I don't know if I will ever see such a phenomenon again. But it was the Right Thing at the Right Time,

May God grant us all eyes to see and ears to hear His Presence in all things.

AMEN. Thank you. Like to share something similar with you. I’m originally from Pennsylvania and me and all my family are hunters. My husband built me a beautiful deer stand out of logs that was my home away from home for many years, especially cuz my children came along, and I did much prayer from that stand. Well, anyway back to the story. We had an ice storm the night before. It was early morning just before sunrise when I went to my stand. All the trees and branches were covered with ice. As soon as the sun came up, and it started to warm up, the ice on all the trees started to crack. It made such a loud sound of applause throughout the whole portion of the woods. Then suddenly, as if audible, this bible verse came alive for me: You will live in joy and peace. The mountains and hills will burst into song, and the trees of the field will clap their hands! (Isa. 55:12). Glory to GOD. Praying for the Peace of Jerusalem. God Bless!
