Can’t win with air power alone.The only way to defeat the Houthis and make the Red Sea sea lanes safe and secure ( at least for a time) is a prolonged, hard, brutal land invasion of Yemen that would result in huge casualties. It would be a repeat of Iraq and Afghanistan. There would be an initial “victory”, followed by a prolonged bloody occupation, an eventual withdrawal and a reemergance of Houthi like groups. Have we learned anything?
Face it. The security and well being of the American people is not enhanced by these foreign entanglements. To date over six thousand brave young americans killed, tens of thousands more physically and psychologically maimed over six trillion dollars squandered. america has been wekened by this insanity.
